Internet Explorer 8

I should get into the habit of typing everything (besides forum posts) in Tahoma. Like Erica does. ;o (This is my first blog post to do so.)

So seriously. Try out Internet Explorer 8. Beta 2 just released. Forget what you hear about Firefox being more secure - it's not. Forget that people say Internet Explorer displays sites improperly - IE8 doesn't (and IE7 did a bit of a good job trying). And just because it isn't open source, that's no reason to dump it either. (It's a very idiotic reason, sorry to say.)

Oh, and it's very safe even when it's unstable. If it crashes, IE8 Beta 22 can recover the browser in the state it was before it crashed.

If you like beta software, definitely give it a spin.

(Oh, and I'm trying it on my laptop, not the Mac.)

I've always been a big fan of Fire Fox. Mainly because of its built in spellchecker, But I'll give it a shot.

Musaki: It does? Never saw that in action.

kcander90: Oh yeah, and the plugins too.

IE seriously needs its plugin architecture redone/re-explained. :x

    What plugins?

So far I can't get it to load any website. I am using Firefox on the same computer with no problem, and the Network Diagnostics for Windows says that there is no problem with my internet connection. So far, IE8 is a dud.

Meh, I might give it a try. I am still fan of FireFox though. I recently had to go back to FF2 because there were still some bugs to work on FF3. But maybe I should try IE8...

    I don't know. XD

Nah I think I'll pass I prefer FF. IE is waaay to bloated after being patched like crazy by MS. And it's targeted by black-hatters more than FF since it's used by MOAR peeps. But hey theres always Safari or Opera... It's just that FF is relatively newer than IE that I prefer it...

now lets compare it to Google Chrome..

For the IE fans, IE8 is a great improvement.. much better W3 and CSS compliance and a bit faster then its predecessors all while somewhat increasing its security. (still has active-x so I dunno about that one)
