The Sea Otter Pokémon

Hello, I'm Nichole. A twenty-something, female, Australian, suffering autism/social issues and proud member
of this forum since 2011. Been a childhood fan of Pokemon since I was only 7, and I picked up
my first Pokemon game when I was 11. Pretty much have played every game since then.

Joined PC in March 2011. Became a Community Supporter in October 2012, started off initially as
a Tier 4, since jumped to Tier 5 or as we know them these days, Crystal Tier.
Now I am suddenly a Platinum Tier for whatever reason. Ex Showdown regular, and currently active Tumblr blogger.

Aside from Pokemon, I have a love for cute anime girls, plushies, music and anything that gives
me a good laugh. This blog will mainly be a showcase of stuff I am loving right now, some personal
reviews and ramblings, music, funny stuff, life updates and things going around PC.

I can definitely look back on this...

So yeah, it will almost be 10 years since I played my first Pokemon game in 2003. It was my beloved Pokemon Ruby Version I got with my GBA SP on my 11th birthday. I was so excited to play the game and take my first steps as a Pokemon Trainer I didn't know a lot of the basics, like having diverse teams. My team really sucked back in the day, having two Water-types and two Grass-types, but it was like a gateway to me fixing that issue in future games.

Now with X & Y fast approaching, I do admit I was glad I changed my act with Pokemon games compared to 10 years ago. If I was still a noob at Pokemon, I would never have enjoyed 5th Gen so well, let alone reach postgame. Sadly, I never got around to finishing Pearl and Platinum, but I did finish SoulSilver's main story. It's hard to believe I learned so much about Pokemon since joining PC, to the point where I even discuss and speculate on new games and also competitive battling. The Showdown server showed me loads of new things about competitive play in the hope I eventually train to excel in the field one day.

Pokemon is a franchise I shall never part with, even if I get mocked by so many people for playing what they call a "kid's game". It's a game anyone can enjoy and I feel glad to have been part of the fandom ever since I was only a wee 7-year-old who started with watching the anime.

I'm looking even more forward to X & Y in the hope they can outshine everything else I played. Everything has pleased me so far so you bet I'll be very busy once the games are released.
