Given I'm an Australian, it was kinda obvious Abbott was going to win because most of the country were sick of the last four years being governed by Labor.
My family were heavy Abbott supporters this election, they always side with the Liberal candidate at every election so it was fitting I had to follow tradition and vote for him.
But still these cracked me up. Still don't get why some Australians actually want to leave the country though.Posted September 7th, 2013 at 11:21 PM by Hikamaru

I'm wondering how the oft-mentioned majority of Australians are butthurt about it when he won with votes from a majority of Australians. XD But I suppose if it went the other way the other other majority would be complaining about Rudd in a similarly ridiculous fashion.
...Although the post by the guy saying he is 'gonna screw Abbott's daughters' is pretty darn unfunny. =|
Sources please. For one, his proposed policy on the maternity pay for women putting it higher than most other countries (considered by some to be too much, but that's another matter) doesn't suggest he's out to make it hard for women. Or is this just the parroting of attack campaigns?Quote:buuut if you're okay with a prime minister who hates women (which you are)
Yes, really. =p Just look at how Labor performed not just on federal level but also state. There's probably a reason why in the last few years they've been beaten in NSW, Qld and Victoria, and in at least two of those soundly whipped. People tend to get sick of messes when they last for years - Labor basically dug their own hole, so let's see how Abbott uses his shovel, so to speak. We've (collective Australia we) given it to him now.Quote:I can agree Labor was a mess, but seriously, Abbott? Really?Posted September 8th, 2013 at 1:22 AM by bobandbill

i think they mentioned this because abbott has said a few things about being against abortion because its an 'easy way out' for women and has said a few strange things about women, ironing and being a housewife. sexist is probably a little better than "woman hating"Quote:Sources please.
