Fourth Ruby Destiny Game - October Update
Posted October 30th, 2013 at 5:41 PM by destinedjagold
Hello and good day.
I am happy to share with you guys that I've made quite a lot of progress with the game.
But by progress, I mean the technical sides...
Meaning, I've managed to successfully increase the number of attacks of the game, so now, I don't have to replace old ones. :3
And oh, I hired a mapper. Haven't heard from him yet as of this writing though.
Anyway, I've been experimenting with adding new types into the game.
They say that it's difficult to apply in Ruby because the codes are complicated and all over the place, and suggested that we'll just use Emerald if we wanted to have support and the Ruby feel, but eh, I'm a rebel. :P
Chaomega's not a Fairy type, by the way. I was just testing it and see how it goes.
With that in mind, I also managed to update the strengths and weakenesses of different types.
This includes the Fairy type. :3
And oh, I added the Poison type moves are super effective against Water types.
Also, I was testing with a test ROM of adding new PKMN without replacing old ones but, it was far too much work and very tiring, but I succeeded anyway.
However, I am not going to add such feature in the fourth game.
Why? Because the tools are going whack and I am no longer sure if the tools can edit the ROM in a stable manner. =/
So...yeah...
Also, the first chapter of the story's almost done. Just one more major script and the chapter's done.
After that, I'm going to script some NPCs and signs and then map some maps... Sigh... Aw well~

It's good to see you're getting better and better with coding. I'm now excited for the next Ruby Destiny game because of the Fairy type. I guess Chaomega will be the only Chaos type, or will be more?
Because of the pillars in the Tower of Fate in LoG, will the Sapphire Destiny appear as a uncatchable boss in this game?Posted November 19th, 2013 at 11:17 AM by Feroniamon -
I know I'm not an expert, but couldn't you actually replace some of the empty slots (??, ?, ect.) with your new ones, and then just set in wild appearances for them? I feel like "adding" pokemon is an overthought idea, and I was also wanting to know what the side-effects of doing something like that would be. Thanks for making your other games, and your walkthroughs :D I'm thinking about starting my own hack, and this info would be really useful.

I feel like at this rate, with such a small team creating these games, it's only a matter of time till you guys are hired by Game Freak... Talk about creating emotional stories :3 *cough* (Life of Guardians) *cough*. I don't know if you know this, but Life of Guardians actually helped me get through an extremely hard time in my life... family deaths, friend suicide, and threats of parents divorcing (which thankfully they didn't)...
But anyways, I'm glad you're back!Posted November 30th, 2014 at 5:48 PM by xSkylordxLeafstar
