2012 brings new things to discover as well as uncertainty about the future. It also brings more of that 2012 doomsday BS that has been running rampant the past few years, despite common sense and scientists actually proving that the predicted Mayan doomsday will not happen! But that still doesn't stop idiots like Discovery Channel, History Channel, Patrick Geryl and other morons from continuing to shove their doomsday shows and books down our throats!
Since the world will end in 356 days from now (we are in a leap year, so we have the 29th of February), I've decided to have my own fun with this "phenomenon". Don't worry, I'm not going to talk about how the earth will suddenly reverse its magnetic fields or anything like that. I lack the intelligence to make sense of that stuff.
The reason for this title if I'm not going to talk about 2012? A certain 80's song that critics think is probably the worst song in history.

I always get a kick out of playing games online against other people. It always brings out the best in a player's ability or inability to compete. I don't have a high speed connection at my house still, no thanks to me being laid off. So, I have to bug my buddy to use his connection to get my online game on.
When I play online, there's always a certain trend that happens. I get killed a lot by one person and I vow bloody revenge against said person, creating a small rivalry during the match. This is a normal example.
I was playing GTA IV: The Lost and Damned on Xbox Live and as I was on the prowl for an opponent to gun it out with, some dude kills me! So I respawn and I go after a new group, only to get killed by the dude who killed me last time! A respawn later, guess who kills me again? The same dude. By this time, his gamertag is etched into my memory, then I make this long ass declaration to my friend, like some online blood oath, that I will kill this person before the match ends!!
I saw to my friend, "So and so willl DIE my my hands!!" Most of the time, I never kill this guy. There are a few times I try to kill this rival, but I get sidetracked and take my fight to other people and end up getting a high place on the scoreboard at the end of the match.
This is just some kind of odd thing that happens to me when I go online. Call it a weird kind of amusement. I call it me getting "pwned".
