Perfect album game.

Posted April 2nd, 2014 at 11:18 PM by Nick

Okay so I made a thread in Culture and Media asking people what their perfect albums are. Mine are of course my favorite albums. I'm an album person.

I made a playlist with my favorite albums (there are 35 of them total), and I want to post it on my blog and add a little twist to it by making it like a game.

So from the picture and list below, add up your score and comment with it.

Scoring Rule: Only one score for an album. Every album has to be scored.

Scoring:
The album is one of your favorites as well, add 10 points.
The album is one that you have, from beginning to end, in your library, add 5 point.
The album is one from an artist you recognize OR you recognize the album artwork OR you recognize the name of the album, add 1 points.
For every album that doesn't fall into any of these categories, you get 0 points.

Maximum possible score is 350.
Closest to that wins my best friendship. :P
Lowest score accepted is 30. :P

If I were scoring on my own scale it would go like this:

10 for Florence + the Machine
    10 for Mumford and Sons
9 for Of Monsters and Men
    7 for Jónsi
    7 for Beirut
    5 for Bon Iver
    5 for Bastille
0 for everything else because I don't know them well enough or at all

    So... 53

On your scale it's 59 'cuz I recognize a lot of names but have no idea what the music is like.
