So I just tried to make use of my free time here for this month…and so far it's going okay. I bought a Wii U, I'm trying to visit Roy once a week or so, and trying to pick up more hours at work so that way I don't have to feel all cooked up at my loft.

I kinda do regret not signing up for a class at my university. It would have been much easier for me to make use of my time, as well as get another class out the way so I can graduate early. >_> But alas, I didn't think I would handle it seeing that things at work (especially the supervisor job) are getting pretty intense.

In terms of that, I moved from rotating shift key holder/supervisor to morning stockroom supervisor. It's become pretty convenient for me, especially since on most days I am off at 12-1 pm depending on the size of the freight. However, that position is still not permanent and I am on an "as-needed" basis. But I'm pretty sure I'll be scheduled mornings at least 3 times a week. The rest would be closing shifts. I've been through "clopening" shifts numerous times, which fucks up my sleeping schedule. I hated doing that, but alas, that's my manager! xD

A short update on me & Roy: we're still going strong! June 10th was our 1-month anniversary, and we're as close as ever. However, as mentioned in my previous update, he moved to Galveston with his mom, a retired schoolteacher. It's about 45 minutes to an hour from southwest Houston (where I live), and honestly…I've been okay with the distance. It's still PART of the Houston metro area at least. Visiting their country-style home was like a tourist attraction for me, because they're literally surrounded by nature (read more about it here). As mentioned, I'm gonna try to make this a "once-a-week" type of thing. It's literally not as far as I thought. I only end up wasting 1/4 tank of gas to and from, so it doesn't bother me as much. All it matters, however, is that we're still together and keeping this relationship alive in any way possible. He loves having me around, and his mom adores me so much, so happy that her son has a wonderful girl like me.

I went back to California at the beginning of the month. Nothing new, really. I only went there to see my family. I only cared about my parents and my sisters…not the toxic side, which I ended up seeing anyways because they "wanted to see me so badly", when honestly they were all being so hypocritical and criticized me about the things I've been doing in my life as of late. Everything has changed for me since I moved out of state. Now I realize…California just…sucks. Sure, people in Texas are dreaming of going to Cali, but I've lived in that state for all my life and it's seriously not all glitz and glamour unless you live on the coastal areas. If you live in desert country (like I did), you're screwed pretty much.

Fiesta Equestria (a brony convention) happened here in Houston, and it was my first ever My Little Pony convention ever. I've always wanted to go to an actual convention for years (even my ex has wanted me to go to one, but well…yeah). It's a fairly small convention, bringing everyone closer than ever. Back in December I bought the badge for $30, because I already knew that I'll be living in Houston by the time the convention comes around. (Read more about it here). I had a blast! Met brand new friends, some of which I've been interacting on facebook but never got around to meeting in real life. Roy was only able to show up for one day, which was totally okay for me. I'm already planning to attend Nightmare Nights in Dallas, Texas. Roy and I are in the talks of actually going to the con, and I already bought the badge with the Fiesta Equestria discount. Now all I need is the Hotel. :)

As I look forward to July, I'll have only 20 days left of my "summer break" before I end up going back to uni classes. I start back on July 20th, and it'll be my 2nd quarter. I did pretty well for my first quarter. 2 B's and 2 A's, was pretty close in getting on the Dean's list though…if only my Business 105 class wasn't a B. xD it'll also be my first 4th of July without my family together. Right now it looks like I will be meeting up with the Houston Bronies that day. Roy will be spending time with his family in Austin, and unfortunately I am going to be working the whole weekend. It is what it is I guess!
