The bus

Believe it or not, I am actually a huge bus geek! I love taking it everywhere, and I've memorized many of the routes. It's just so relaxing riding on a comfy and warm bus to and from work every day. Taking the bus is better than driving in my opinion because you can relax and go on your phone and play a game instead of having to focus on the road.
The only downside is sometimes you have to be squished on and it's really uncomfortable.
My bus ride everyday is about an hour and it may seem long but I've gotten used to it!
Do you like taking the bus?

after doing it routinely and relying on it for several years, nope. it's slower than driving, you have to walk a fair distance to stops, stand out in the elements, make sure you arrive at the stop five minutes early just in case, etc. my current bus ride is also too short to do anything productive else i'll miss my stop but too long to just skip the bus and walk. :/Posted November 22nd, 2015 at 9:40 PM by Aquacorde

I take a bus to get and from where I work. It only takes about fifteen minutes. I have times where I like taking the bus and times when I don't. One time I don't like taking the bus is when the bus is late. I once recall a time when a bus I had to catch arrived twenty minutes late. Late buses happen to be one of my pet peeves.Posted November 23rd, 2015 at 7:24 AM by Judge Mandolore Shepard

I live in a country where public transportation is pretty horrible. The buses here are uncomfortable (cushions on seats are so thin they might as well not exist), hot (no air conditioning at all), dusty (open windows) and way too crowded (there are always about 10 people standing without seats).
Public transportation here is pretty much only an option for the desperate, not the fun seeking xDPosted November 24th, 2015 at 12:51 PM by KetsuekiR

And this, as well.Quote:
I will admit that taking the night bus at 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning is one of the most comforting experiences that restores your faith in mankind. I feel as if those night bus drivers know they're on a mission. Let's face it: nobody who's on the bus at 2 or 3 wants to be there. Maybe you're going to or from work, maybe you're coming home from clubbing, maybe you're returning home from a late-night flight, or trekking late at night to surprise loved ones in the morning. No matter how you cut it, it's a necessary evil - you don't want to be there, but you have to be. And not only that, but it's lonely. As you wait for the bus at that time in the night you realize how cold and dark it is. There are barely any cars on the road anymore, and many of the buildings that are still lit up to 11PM or midnight are now dim. Even though the night is just as dark as a couple hours ago, it feels significantly more empty and you feel so alone.
Now I figured that the night bus drivers have this all figured out, since they're always so nice and genial: the warmest "hello" when you get on the bus, "thank you, sir" when you pay your fare, "have a good night, sir" when you're getting off. Pretty much every rider. They'll have friendly conversations with you if you want to. The night bus has no hot chocolate or fireplace, but the drivers in my experience make it a place of solace and reprieve for the night is dark and full of terrors.
That, or they know that the craziest people are on buses in the middle of the night and they don't want their **** ****ed up. But I'm not going to be cynical about it.Posted November 25th, 2015 at 10:50 PM by Kanzler
