Mood: Embracing my inner Ron Burgandy
I joined back in March 2010. I had always been a fan of Pokémon, but I hadn't played any of the games prior to that year because my parents wouldn't allow me to have a handheld device. My first game was Platinum and I was getting wrecked by Cynthia at the E4, so I joined PC to get help on beating her.
I don't think so. I already knew a lot of the mechanics of the game and had played parts of previous games with a cousin. I also owned Pokémon XD and Pokémon Colosseum, so I already knew how most things worked, including type charts.
I wanted a cool xbox gamertag and eventually settled on omicronhuh. Omicron because I like the ring the Greek letter has. But Omicron was taken. At the time I had also been to a trip to cancun and learned that iguanas were called huh in Mayan and that they believed that they were the guardians of the earth, similar to cats for egyptians. So I just mashed those together. I was 10, okay. I use Omicron if it is available and omicronhuh on places where it isn't.
Oh, I still love it, haha. It's just that the reasoning behind the username was completely random and I don't think I would get to something like that right now.
And yes, I have considered changing to Megido and use that in some games already. It's the last name of my favorite Homestuck character.
Trade Corner, because I moderate it and love it! Otherwise, The Underground. I've been having a lot of fun playing Mafia games the last months.
It's hard not to be intimidated by such massive shops, haha. But it usually is a non issue, if you want to set up a shop and you think it might be too small or non successful when you compare it to larger, older ones, it's important to remember that many people seeking to trade are also sometimes intimidated by those shops and would rather trade with smaller ones. Always keep´growing your selection, and your shop could be as large as the other ones in no time. Probably not as large as RNC's, though. :p
There's not much I wouldn't change that isn't being worked on right now, and I don't want to spoil anything so I'll remain quiet on the subject. I just want the great users to stay.
The section I'd least like to moderate would probably be Anime and Manga, since I don't know/enjoy it so much. I've seen two animes and that's it. This might change in the future, but not for now.
There's plenty of sections I could probably enjoy moderating, but I don't have the activity in any of them for that now, haha. I'm not sure if I could choose one.
Daily Music - "Poscards From Italy" by Beirut
One Punch Man and Madoka Magica. OPM was brilliant, I would definitely recommend it to everyone. It is a great show with great humor. Madoka Magica was also great. A friend kept telling me how Madoka Magica was basically an anime version of Goethe's Faust and how I should watch it. It is a great anime. The music is brilliant, the animation is gorgeous and the characters are very well developed. It is also very dark (even though it is a magical girl anime. haha) and just great overall. I would also recommend it, definitely.
A friend of mine that has so much initiative. He has done a lot with his life and is 18 years old.
He is a very independent person. He always has very clear what he needs, wants and how to achieve both. He has his priorities straight. He recently decided he wants to move. He is moving to Australia in a few months. He wants to work and settle and then try to study there. He knows no one there and is doing this alone. He just turned 18 years old. I would probably be terrified of doing that and I admire him for this.
Lapras! I love its design and the personality it was given in the show. I love it.
I'm really excited about them! I have a feeling I'll enjoy them thoroughly. Otherwise, I don't have much of an opinion on them because there's very little info about them out right now. I love learning about the games in the time between when they are announced and when they are released.
Tough question. It would depend on the situation, but I would probably wish for the ability to fly. would make traveling the world easier.
I don't know. I probably would fly to the nearest mountain range. I believe that mountains are the best landscape to appreciate from the air. It's a beautiful sight.
The Elder Scrolls! I love fantasy and the Elder Scrolls took everything I love and made it a game. I love its deeply intricate lore, the great gameplay, the awesome storylines, everything.
I honestly wouldn't mind a bigger skyrim with better graphics and a different plot. That game was perfect. I would love to see a game located on Valenwood or Argonia. If Valenwood, I'd love to see more options of were-transformations. In skyrim, some books mention that weresharks, werevultures and werebats can be found in Valenwood. That would be super cool. I also want to see how they take on the migrating forests. In Argonia, I would like for them to expand on the origins of the Argonians and the Black Marsh.
But most importantly, I want the spells to be as similar as Skyrim as possible, especially Destruction spells. Skyrim's magic system was such an upgrade compared to Oblivion's, in my opinion. I'd like to use magic more like in Skyrim than like Oblivion in combat.
Daily Comic - "Quests" by Woody Hearn of GU Comics
Serana from the Skyrim: Dawnguard DLC. I'm not sure why. I love her personality, she's very cool and a badass. She is also a vampire.
I love the DLC. I love TES's lore and seeing Snow Elves alive and all of that was great. Better werewolf perks would've been better, though. Vampire Lords are so much more powerful than werewolves. :(
I also loved the background on what happens to souls trapped in soul stones.
Right now, I'd love to visit Greece. I'd like to go to Meteora, to Corfu to try and find the beaches Gerald Durrell described in his books, to Mykonos, Santorini, Athens, Delphi, all the ruins, Crete. Everywhere. That's the place I want to visit the most right now. Traveling the world is what I want the most in my life.
I don't think you can feasibly travel the entire world. I want to visit a lot of places all over the world. I want to get to know different cultures and see all the different landscapes. Eat all kinds of food. Vistis cities, beaches and forests all around the world. Visit jungles and temples, caves, waterfalls, lakes and everything that is able to put a smile in my face. I want to travel the world, maybe not entirely, but as much as I can.
And if nothing major occurs, I'm sure I'll be able to. I already started a savings account reserved for that purpose.
A favorite song would be impossible for me to pick. It's constantly changing and no song ever is #1, it's always several songs that I absolutely love. Postcards From Italy by Beirut and Cough Syrup by Young the Giant are very close, though.
My favorite band is without a doubt Beirut. Love them so much. They're an indie rock/world music band. I love their sound and the best concerts I've been to have been Beirut's. Crazy good atmosphere.
I haven't seen Young the Giant live and I'd love to. I'm dying for the opportunity to arise. Soon, hopefully!
But I've seen Beirut live twice and both have been great experiences. Best concerts I've been to, by far.
Besides Beirut, I have also seen Coldplay, Keane, Muse, U2, Maroon 5, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Snow Patrol, The Killers, Imagine Dragons, Travis, CHVRCHES, Halsey, Richard Ashcroft, Kiesza, Kygo, Damon Albarn, Foster The People, Kasabian, The Kooks, HAIM, Sam Smith, James Bay, Rixton, Robert Delong, Quadron, Palma Violets, The XX and The Dandy Warhols.
I go to a lot of concerts and music festivals, as you can see, haha.
My favorite cartoon is Adventure Time, even though I was not a kid anymore when it started airing. Love the show.
Zoboomafoo was a show about a lemur of the same name. It was set in a place called Animal Junction and Zoboomafoo would be there with the two Kratt Brothers. Each episode had a theme, baby animals for example, and it was an educational show about animals and nature. I loved that show as a kid. The theme was a big factor on my love for it. I've always loved animals and learning about them has always been a fascination of mine. It was also a cute show.

I love reading, listening and playing music and gardening. I also love spending time with my dogs.
I would like to pick on different hobbies but I haven't found the time/place to do so. I'd love to take dance lessons sometime, enology classes sound really interesting, and I would love to practice falconry seriously.
I have two dogs. An Akita named Toru and a Westie named Terry. Toru is like a very large, fluffy teddy bear.
I used to play the Saxophone! I stopped playing due to several reasons, but I have been trying to slowly get back to it. I also play the Harmonica.
One of my neighbors practices falconry. She is a vet and has several birds, including a Harris's Hawk. She practices falconry and I've gone on some trips with her and it is such a cool sport. You develop a close bond with the bird of prey and it is awesome. I know the basics of it and would like to someday practice it fully.
I'd like to work as a software engineer. I'd love to work for Spotify. 8)
I'd like to give a shout out to everyone on the Battle Server! Thanks for making my days more enjoyable.

My family has always loved everything animals. My father has had more pets, many weird ones too, in his life than I can recall. Animals are a frequent conversation topic. He printed a falconry magazine once and we liked the concept and all that very much. My brother and I read about it and liked it, but didn't really think much further about it. Then we were walking in the park and saw one of our neighbors with a Harris's Hawk and started chatting with her and that was that.Posted March 28th, 2016 at 1:43 AM by Omicron
