Moonlight Silver episode 73c--The Afterpost

Posted June 3rd, 2017 at 4:28 PM by EmeraldSky

This week, we wind up the Ecruteak storyline by showing (most of) the Gekijou play the gang acted in, and Sakura and Misty's heart to heart, which includes a lot of callbacks to Lightning Yellow.

The play itself was new for the story--I wanted to expand on the Dance Theater in the games by also making it a venue for theater and concerts as well as dancing (and the odd Eeveelution battle)

I plan to expand on the history Misty tells Sakura when I write Lightning Yellow--she refers to the remixed versions of "The Water Flowers of Cerulean City" (which will expand on her childhood music lessons), "Pokemon--I Choose You!" (no bikes will be harmed in the writing of Lightning Yellow) and the rewritten "Ash Catches a Pokemon" (since "Challenge of the Samurai" is cut in Lightning Yellow, "Ash Catches a Pokemon"'s ending is rewritten to foreshadow Brock)

The Cerulean Sisters are rewritten as wanting to be pop idols in Lightning Yellow, creating the idol unit Waves. (Misty politely refused being part of the unit, and Lily, Violet, and Daisy have hounded her about it ever since, to the point of saving a costume for her even though she won't change her mind.)

Their song "I Want" is actually an "English" version of the Idolmaster song "Ippai Ippai". I plan to reveal more of their discography as the project progresses.

Next time, Ash and Misty grapple with some mischievous Murkrows!
