Moonlight Silver episode 87--The Afterpost

This week, Ash and the gang arrive in Olivine City, where they meet the Gym Leader Jasmine and have a terrifying encounter at Olivine Lighthouse!
The biggest change (besides Luce's evolution, Mega Evolution, and more lore of Mega Evolution and the Swanna Song to set up for next week) was cutting Janina (as Jasmine does not have any attendants that actually battle you in the games--the two random trainers she gains in HG/SS simply thank you for helping Amphy), and giving Jasmine a bigger role in my imagined anime.
I also chose to give the sick Ampharos the name Amphy instead of Sparkle, to be more consistent with the games.
Normally, we would go to Cianwood, have Ash beat Chuck, and then the Whirl Cup. In my original outline, I planned to re-purpose the Whirl Cup as a Pokethlon (as the do-or-die point for those on the Pokethlon challenge), but then I ran into two big problems:
--Ash played such a pivotal role in that storyline, so it was hard to design what it would look like after he was cut out of it.
--Misty would then have an extra Pokethlon to compete in, and I felt it wouldn't be fair for Misty to just compete in something when she would still be going to the Grand Pokethlon anyway, win or lose
So the Whirl Cup arc went on the cutting room floor.
To make up for this, we will be seeing the Kimono Girls again next time, and the Lugia encounter from SS before we get to Cianwood--Ash naming the baby Lugia next week will grant him the ability to sing the Swanna Song himself!
