2012 brings new things to discover as well as uncertainty about the future. It also brings more of that 2012 doomsday BS that has been running rampant the past few years, despite common sense and scientists actually proving that the predicted Mayan doomsday will not happen! But that still doesn't stop idiots like Discovery Channel, History Channel, Patrick Geryl and other morons from continuing to shove their doomsday shows and books down our throats!
Since the world will end in 356 days from now (we are in a leap year, so we have the 29th of February), I've decided to have my own fun with this "phenomenon". Don't worry, I'm not going to talk about how the earth will suddenly reverse its magnetic fields or anything like that. I lack the intelligence to make sense of that stuff.
The reason for this title if I'm not going to talk about 2012? A certain 80's song that critics think is probably the worst song in history.

I need a Con Fix

Don't worry. This is not another "Rant about Rep abuse" blog. Not me. Heck, I go away for a bit and PC is again going through something.
But I digress. With my Summer dulled out thanks to my Dad's leukemia, which is in remission much to the amazement of the doctor and he's doing fine, if you want to know, July's almost at an end.
But lucky for me, there's an escape. Hartford CT is having their yearly anime con called ConnectiCon. It's not as big as Anime Boston, but it's a good con nonetheless. Lucky for me again is the fact that Hartford is a 45 minute trip down I-91 South from the Ghetto of Flo-Town, as I call my hometown. That means no, long 3 hour bus trip for me.
I'm just planning on a Saturday only trip. I had some previous expenses to take care of, so I had to dip into my ConnectiCon fund. But still, I am going to load myself up on Anime Goodness either way. I brought over $1300 with me to Anime Boston 2009 and I nearly spent all of it, leaving me with only $120 left not counting the bus ticket I paid to get back home.
Heck if I had over $5000, I would still blow off all of that at an Anime con!!! So, I'm looking forward to this Saturday.
Let me repeat, my Dad is doing fine these days. That is all.

Well, if I somehow got $5000 out of nowhere, I would save a good chunk of it and keep a bit for myself to blow off on.Quote:
