2012 brings new things to discover as well as uncertainty about the future. It also brings more of that 2012 doomsday BS that has been running rampant the past few years, despite common sense and scientists actually proving that the predicted Mayan doomsday will not happen! But that still doesn't stop idiots like Discovery Channel, History Channel, Patrick Geryl and other morons from continuing to shove their doomsday shows and books down our throats!

Since the world will end in 356 days from now (we are in a leap year, so we have the 29th of February), I've decided to have my own fun with this "phenomenon". Don't worry, I'm not going to talk about how the earth will suddenly reverse its magnetic fields or anything like that. I lack the intelligence to make sense of that stuff.

The reason for this title if I'm not going to talk about 2012? A certain 80's song that critics think is probably the worst song in history.

If one tkes the time to look over the games offered for sale on Xbox Live Arcade, you might find a few hidden jewels that are well worth the price of admission. Fun to play while giving you a nice challenge.

Mega Man 9 is one of them, although it has YET to come out on XBLA (Xbox Live Arcade) but I just discovered acool game that I've become hooked on. Bionic Commando Rearmed!

In a nutshell, it's an updated version of the classic NES game, with 3D graphics, music that is reminiscent of the old game, better AI and an "M" Rating. Why the rating? I'm sure you all know about the NES version, that bad guy who looks like Adolf Hitler, says "damn" in it and the infamous head exploding scene that somehow was missed by Nintendo censors. How could you miss that?!!! In my opinion, that part ruled all!!!

So, if it's rated "M", I bet the game will have something like that part where Hitler's head blows up all nice and gory.

Anyway, I saw a trailer of this game and for some reason, it bought me back to the past. I got the game today and I can say, it's just like playing the old NES game, only updated and with a lot of new enemies and bosses to boot. The ways you beat the new bosses will requre you to use your bionic arm a lot more than usual.

And here's the kicker, the guys added a whole lot of secret areas where you find Capcom's famed Yashichi icon. So, you have to explore a lot to find all them.

In closing, it's a great homage to the original NES game and a fine entry in the XBLA's library.
