^ Just think about that for a while.
But seeing as I want this blog to actually have a point (not a requirement, I know, but hey.), I'm going to tell you a little bit about my day. For one thing, I actually feel like a real otaku for the first time in my life. Because I'm sitting here now with real J-Pop playing on my iTunes after taking half an hour to download this morning :0, and sitting to my right is a real, authentic, physical copy of Volume One of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion. I NEVER KNEW. My local library stocks manga. Fwee. And it's good manga too. They have volumes 1-3 of Code Geass, with volume 4 on order. There's also a stack of Love Hina and Tsubasa, both of which I would have grabbed if volume one was there arararara. So annoying!
And I discovered a shop that stocks my favourite manga of all time, Negima! It's 30 bucks a volume, which is kinda steep, but as soon as I leave home, I'm going to start my collection from there. *nod nod* Go you, MK1! They also have Bleach, among various others that I recognised but can't remember.
After MK1 and the library, I ran into a couple of mates, and we played petanque and supersized checkers in the park under the 25-metre Christmas tree. That was fun. And I even got some Christmas shopping done for my family! :3
So I'm happy now. Off to eat something before I faint have to pick up my sister from school. @[email protected]

Never liked Code Gayass myself.Quote:And it's good manga too. They have volumes 1-3 of Code Geass, with volume 4 on order.
Holy jesus ****, where are they importing from, Saturn? >>; Try Amazon.co.uk - I've seen a few New Zealanders using it because of low prices, even with shipping. It's about NZ$13.50 excl. shipping, so it might be that it's a fair bit cheaper. :3 Look around the Internet anyway, as I find it's generally a good 20% or so cheaper at least.Quote:It's 30 bucks a volume, which is kinda steep, but as soon as I leave home, I'm going to start my collection from there.Posted December 9th, 2009 at 5:32 PM by processr

@Hiidoran: I have no idea. idek where I got it from.
@Apophenia: I'll try that, but I need my own credit card for that. I'll have a browse, though, and maybe take notes for later on. :3
And don't be dissin' teh Geass. ):
@Natsu-kun: Cake what cake?
And it's not all that expensive, just the big series. Even Negima!? Neo, for example, is $19.90 a volume. Hmm. I think Code Geass was about that, too. And I found Negima! at my local bookstore for, um . . . $28. Y_YPosted December 9th, 2009 at 5:36 PM by Misheard Whisper

Well, I'd be lying if I said my 'local' library. The closest library - just round the corner - only stocks a couple volumes of obscure manga I've never heard of. The one I was at today was in town, and I rarely go there - I haven't been since my manga phase bloomed, which is probably why I never noticed them before. And I'm now obsessively stalking the online listings to see when volumes two and three get returned. :3
It sucks that a volume is only three chapters, though. :( I've almost finished it twice already.Posted December 9th, 2009 at 7:04 PM by Misheard Whisper
