FFFF IF I SEE ANOTHER MACHINA-

I'M GONNA JUMP THROUGH THE SCREEN AND WHUP ITS ASS PERSONALLY, BECAUSE I'M JUST THAT PISSED OFF.

Gah. I was playing Final Fantasy X-2 all afternoon, and I got to Bevelle just as Mum and Dad got back from work. I figured, y'know, I'd just keep playing for a bit, so I went down into the Bevelle temple bit.

For those who haven't played X-2, or have and have forgotten it, the bowels of Bevelle temple-thing are basically giant machina boss battle after giant machina boss battle, with the odd prateor boss battle or giant spirit guardian-thing boss battle thrown in.

So I went through boss battle after boss battle, and THERE WERE NO GODDAMN SAVE POINTS. And Mum and Dad were all like 'are you finished yet?' and I was like 'T_T no!' and they went 'Well, hurry up!'.

Y_Y

So I sat there for ages beating the crap out of every bloody machina that I saw. Strategy was simple - I've been neglecting to level the girls, so I just switch to Rikku's Machina Maw. Crusher and Smasher keep casting HP restore on Rikku and each other, while Rikku repeatedly uses Vajira (which sounds like that other word) to knock the stuffing out of whatever unfortunate machina was in the way. Rinse and repeat.

So after all the machina, I had to fight some praetor dude called Baralai, who is apparently hot but I don't see it. Mostly because I was seeing everything through a red mist through then. I was like 'haha, the final boss. There's gotta be a save point here!' So I Machina Maw'd him to death, but . . . I had to keep going! I sat through five minutes of pointless cutscene I couldn't skip only for some giant purple dragon fairy eagle mofo with helicopter blades on its back to jump out and try its luck. This thing here:

I swear, I was SOOO pissed right then, especially when I used Smasher's Scan ability and saw that it had 8400 HP. So I kept up the usual strategy, but it took about fifteen minutes, ffs! I was ready to throttle the bastard by the time I was done. Anyway, I whupped its ass and sent it back to whatever screwed-over dimension it came from, only to find out that Vegnagun (the big mech-thing I came down here to look for in the first place) had freaking disappeared!

The good news was, there was a save point. Two whole hours more, that was. ie if I'd just pulled the plug like Mum was threatening to, I'd have had to go back, like, yonks and beat up all those friggin' machina again.

So now I have a headache, and stuff. :(

The good news, though, is that the game is freaking aeesome, and I picked up volumes two and three of Code Geass at the library today. ^_^ So I'm gonna go read that now, in between Sora no Otoshimono, Kaichou wa Maid-sama and School Rumble, plus checking if Hayate no Gotoku, Kami no Mizo Shiru Sekai, Kimi no Iru Machi or Mahou Sensei Negima have been updated.

Oh, the life of a teenage otaku. @[email protected]

Yeah, I know, but I think 'giant purple dragon fairy eagle mofo with helicopter blades on its back' has a better ring to it, personally.

And Bahamut reminds me of the Bahama Hut, that bar in downtown Hamilton. XD
