A friend, A seat belt, A choking...

First let me start off by saying that this really did happen, and I had nothing to do with it, I was just a spectator.

I was delivering newspapers with my good friend Robert. He was in the passenger seat, I was in the driver seat. (My car has power seatbelts) He went to throw a newspaper out the window, but it slipped from his hand and barley made it out the window, much less into the customer’s yard. So I stopped and backed up so he can pick up the paper without having to get out of the car. As I am backing up, he sticks his head out the window and tells me when to stop. As I am stopping, he opens the door, without moving his head. Once the door was open, the seat belt moves forward as it is supposed to. Well the major problem here is that he didn't move his head. The seat belt wrapped around his neck and proceed to move forward, tightening the hold around his neck. The mean time I am laughing my ass off, because I could only remember one thing: A conversation we had a couple of days before hand;

"Wouldn’t it be funny if a Japanese person chocked to death in the power seat belt?"

Me: "No. It would probably be the stupid American."

When I remembered that: I totally lost it. It was all I could do to breath, much less save my chocking stupid American friend.

EDIT: I drive a Honda, the reason for the Japanese reference...

    LOL! Everything is always so much funnier when you see it first hand.

    The irony in it all. And of course it would be the American because we are that crazy.

    Lol, love it!
