Man.. it just hit me..
I just turned 21.. and I realized that.. I really only have about 5 months of school left until I graduate and spread my wings for the working world.
It's so scary.. I don't know where I'll end up, I know I'm heading into the animation business.. but it's quite a small industry.. I don't know if I'll live here, in Vancouver, in the States, overseas.. I just don't even know. I'll officially be an adult and I'll be having so much more responsibility on my hands. It really is frightening, because it's like.. this new next step in life. From now on, I'll be working and I'll be working for the next 30-40 maybe even 50 years of my life.
@[email protected] Wow.. things are going so fast. I just want to do great in these final months.. because I really want a good future for myself. But sometimes it's scary to think that so much of your future actually does ride on these final few months and graduation.
Haha.. in a way I don't want to think about it .___.

We're in school until 18 and.. we are forced to go to the army after that.
Just think about something that interests you and try hard.Posted October 30th, 2010 at 8:39 AM by KanadeTenshi

At least you have the skills to hopefully land yourself in jobs you enjoy during those 50 years or so. :O Plus, if you want to hone your skills more, there are always other courses you can take, right? I know Yas is 26 and he'll be going back to school next year for graduate studies in architecture and he still feels far from like he's an adult. I guess that feeling comes at different times for people.Posted October 30th, 2010 at 8:59 AM by Ryoutarou

I know I wont end up like.. on the streets or anything.. but it's still scary. :/ I went to Ottawa last weekend for some interviews.. and I had some really good feedback.. but it's just really scary.
120 of us are going to be graduating all at once.. and there's only a limited amount of studios out there in the world ._. I have to be near the top because I know I will be fighting for jobs come May..
But thanks for the encouragement. I really appreciate it @[email protected] And yeah.. I can always go back if I don't feel ready or if I can't get anything..
Worst case the studio in Brighton said they'd be happy to take me back after I graduate.. but it being so far away is scary ._. It's like I feel like I'd be uprooting everything if I'm honestly considering living there for more than just a year. But a job there is much better than no job at all..Posted October 30th, 2010 at 9:25 AM by Kura

Eeeh, it depends on how you view it. Just because you're 18 and you graduate doesn't mean to automatically have to grow up all of a sudden. Life doesn't change as much as some think it will, from what I've learned it's that anticipation that's worse than the actual events.
I maybe in college, and 23, but it's still quite a bit like going to school, and working isn't bad either. I still do goofy things with friends, we go to anime cons every year, and responsibilities aside, we really haven't changed much. xD; It's not at all as drastic as I thought it would be.Posted October 30th, 2010 at 12:26 PM by Taemin

... ._. What? I'm not 18.. I'm 21..
And I understand your point.. but if I have to move countries, get a car, and start having regular bills like an adult.. to me it's a bit scary .__.
Is it not as drastic because you still live in the same general area? You didn't have to move and lose all your friends AND family, did you?
