Part of a fanfiction~

So I started writing a fanfiction earlier this year. I started writing it on paper and then I started typing it. Sadly, I never finished typing it. Hopefully, I'll finish it soon. Anyway I'll post about what I already have typed. You can probably spot a lot of references.
Spoiler:
As I wake up, dazed and confused, I try to get a grasp on my surroundings and also try to remember how I got here. Last thing I remember is three figures cloaked in shadow threatening to unleash an unspeakable terror on the world. I get up and look around. All around me is the same thing: blood-red sky, a thick haze, destroyed buildings. As I walk towards one of the buildings, I catch some movement out of the corner of my eye. I turn around, only to find that there is nothing there.
But I did see what used to be a hotel, judging from the looks of the outside. I strained my eyes, hoping to catch a glimpse of what I thought was movement. I then decided I must have imagined it. But then I notice some fallen debris was starting to shake! I look round, eyes searching for a potential object to defend myself with.
From out of the rubble, a weird creature emerges. It looks human, up until you get to where the head is supposed to be. In its place was a throbbing hunk of flesh, twice the size of a normal human's head.
I start running down a street only to arrive at a blockade of piled-up cars. As I desperately search for an escape route, a crowbar whistles by my head and into the thing.
"Who's there?! Show yourself" I shouted.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa... Take it easy. I mean no harm." a figure said as they stepped out from behind an overturned car.
The figure was a bearded man who wore a complicated looking suit. He walked over and tugged the crowbar out of the thing.
"Headcrab Zombie... Gotta watch out for them or else you're gonna get yourself killed."
"Who are you?" I demanded.
"Well... My name is Gordon Freeman. and I might ask-"
"My name is Nick Kennedy, if that's what you were going to ask." I told him.
"I've heard that name before somewhere... but where? Well anyway, it's almost dark.We need to get to a safe house... They'll be out soon."
"What'll be out soon?" I asked.
"Zombies, or as we call them, Infected."
"What are they infected with?"
"We'll answer all your questions when we get to a safehouse."
"We?"
We started walking and soon we arrived at an abandoned gas station. As we entered, a voice rose from out of a dark corner.
"What is he doing here? I hope he isn't a partially Infected or one of those Stranded."
"Relax, Marcus. He's neither."
The source of the voice stepped out into the dim lighting that the gas station offered. The figure was a big man with very broad shoulders. He was wearing worn-out armor caked with dried blood and a do-rag on his head. His face was rough with scars.
"Nick, meet Marcus Fenix, Marcus, meet Nick Kennedy."
"Now I see why you brought him." Marcus said.
"What do you mean?" Gordon asked.
"He's the brother that Leon has been looking for."
"No wonder his name sounded familiar!" Gordon exclaimed, "Well anyway, let's eat. Besides Nick has questions he probably wants answered."
As I sat down on the cold floor, Marcus puts a bowl of what looks like soup in front of me.
"Ummm... What is it?" I asked.
"You really don't wanna know." Marcus replied.
"Okay, from the question you asked earlier, the Infected are infected with a virus known as the G-Vitus that the Evil Three released."
"Who are the Evil Three?" I interrupted.
"The Evil Three are three evil beings with their mind set on controlling the world." Gordon explains, "They are: GLaDOS, the Genetic Lifeform and Disk Operating System; General RAAM, leader of the Locust Horde; and Andrew Ryan, ruler of Rapture."
"GLaDOS, being a machine, hacked int the Umbrella Corporations' main computer in their lab underneath Raccoon City, releasing the G-Virus and infecting Umbrella staff and Raccoon City residents. The G-Virus was a project that Umbrella Corporations was working on to grant people unending life. After conducting several experiments, many of which went horribly wrong and all of them failed, Umbrella decided to cancel the project, which was codenamed "Code Veronica," and seal up the G-Virus and the test subjects."
"The scientists succeeded in granting immortality but in the form of death. If you get infected by the virus, you start to mutate and slowly start dying, but you never really die. Once you "die" you come back as one of the Infected. And of course the only way to kill them is a bullet or sharp blow to the head. The main way to get infected with the G-Virus is by getting bitten by one who is already infected."
"When GLaDOS released the G-Virus, she also released five more horrors: Nemesis, El Gigante, Del Lago, Skorje, and Pyramid Head, all of which were experiments gone horribly wrong."
"When the government failed to contain the virus in Raccoon City, it slowly started spreading across the world, infecting millions and millions of people."
"What we are trying to do is take down the Evil Three, eradicate the G-Virus, and restore human civilization back to normal. Of course, the Infected and the Evil Three aren't the only things we have to worry about. Each of the Evil Three controls their own army and resides in a different location. GLaDOS controls an army of sentry turrets and resides in the abandoned Aperture Science lab. RAAM controls the Locust Horde and resides in the Locust Homeworld underground. Lastly, Andrew Ryan, who controls the biggest and most powerful army, which consists of Big Daddies, Big Sisters, and Splicers which are all genetically modified, resides in the underwater city of Rapture."
"Now get some rest. Me and Marcus will take turns doing guard duty."
