Jason Garrett Named Cowboys Head Coach

Posted January 6th, 2011 at 4:36 PM by Sweet Candace

After a disastrous season which saw Dallas fire their coach, Wade Phillips halfway through the season, have found their new head coach. Jason Garrett, the once interim head coach and former Cowboy player. He becomes the 8th man to hold the position, the 7th man in 21 years after Dallas had only 1 coach for 29 years (Tom Landry). Jason Garrett becomes the first former Cowboy player to hold the positon (QB from 1993-1999). Was famous for his performance in the 1994 Thanksgiving Day against the Green Bay Packers (15 for 26, 311 yards 2 TD's).

I'm pretty sure Garrett is the right direction
for the cowboys to go in. The players respecy him and he knows what he's doing, so hopefully the Cowboys do some great things in the near future.

Let's hope he bombs and takes the Cowboys with him. I'm interested in how their season will go next year though I won't be watching any of their games anyway.

Dallas had problems with injuries and penalties. Plus, there are rumblings the team quit on Wade Phillips.
