If you want to know the real me, just turn the page in my dirt road diary.
It’s right there for you to see, every kiss, every beer, every cotton field memory.
Tan legs & some Dixie Land delight, ridin’ round, windows down on a summer night.
I was there, and that was me. It's right here in my dirt road diary.

Compared to last year, the month of February is awesome!

Let me just confess something…because of Pokemon GO coming soon, the re-releases of Red, Blue, and Yellow on the 3DS, #Pokemon20, as well as the new Sun/Moon games coming soon, they kept bringing me back here and I'm all like "awww hell. Might as well stay." I know I've had a rough tumble with a couple people, but I ain't gonna let that bother me anymore. They can do their own thing, and I can do mine. :)

PC, you are a drug.

Anyways! Life-wise, things are going really well, albeit busy as per usual! It was a month of celebrations. Roy's birthday was on the 6th, and I did everything I could to make it super special for him. I did a customized tres leches cake (his favorite), a special dinner for him and his family, as well as bought him some goodies. Got him a gaming mouse (his old one broke), and a gift card to his favorite comic book store. His mom got him a new phone, which was the same one I currently have (Samsung Note 5). His older brother and his girlfriend also joined in on the celebration. It was a birthday he will never forget.

However, the celebration didn't stop there. Roy told me that he misses his sister and wanted to see her for his birthday…that was the one thing he wanted the most. So a brief trip to Austin, Texas was in store! It was actually my first time visiting Austin (we were going to go for Thanksgiving, but his sister wanted to spend Thanksgiving in Houston instead) so I was nervous visiting a brand new location in Texas! It was also Super Bowl day, so we had our own mini-party as well. Austin is beautiful, and while I didn't get to see most of it, I was able to get a glimpse of Austin life from my boyfriend's sister.

I finally finished Undertale. Not spoiling, but it is a great game. Temmie is best character.

Last month I debated whether I should continue job searching or stay at my current job. Things turned around for the better for me when I was offered a super good job as an IT administrator at a huge bank. I applied through my school's job center, and I was immediately contacted by a recruiter there. The process took three days, and was hired on the spot. I was super happy that my pay got doubled, earning a lot more than my current job and my previous IT job combined. So I'll be earning more in no time. I start this coming Monday, and I cannot wait!

I never mentioned Valentine's Day in this entry, did I? I got so used to leaving that day out because I never had someone to celebrate it. I was so used to treating it as a normal day. This year was a little different because I actually have someone to celebrate it with. We didn't want to make it too big of a deal, because it was his first Valentine's Day. We simply went to the Island to explore, as well as saw Deadpool! (That movie is so not for kids).

To top off the month of February, Anime Matsuri! This was my second year going (last year I went in April, but the con was moved to February due to construction at the convention center). I'm pretty sure I blew up over $400 in merch, food, and parking alone. Thankfully my tax refund came a few days before! I do have three days full of awesomeness the con had, and I will publish them as soon as I can! I will also have pictures on there as well.

I typed this blog entry in my brand new gaming laptop. Got it right when my tax refund came around. Spend a good price on it, actually! I was aiming for an HP because of the green backlit keyboard, but I ended up getting an ASUS due to performance. Probably the best decision I have ever made. My old Toshiba laptop will be sent to my sister, so I hope she does take good care of it.

The month of March will be…less busy but it depends on my new job and all! March 15th is my 1 year anniversary living in the lovely city of Houston! Its amazing how one year has changed my life for the better. I do not plan on leaving Houston anytime soon, because I got what I want right here. Thanks, Houston, for one incredible year. :)
