Welcome to the first blog from Ghost Nappa aka me. I will share foods I've created funny stories about cooking and life in general. I will improve this blog over time. So please stay with the adventures and maybe you'll enjoy it.
Episode 1. My First Culinary Masterpiece! (as a kid)
This story comes from back in the year 2002. (I don't even this this forum existed back then so ancient history). I was 7 years old and it was freezing in my hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. We were not a wealthy family growing up so we had the basics, bread, cheese, soups etc. I was staring afterwards coming home from school. My brother (age 10 at the time) was very egotistical and thought he was king of the world because he is older. He demanded I make something to eat. So, I looked around the cabinets and pantry for anything. I found two cans of Tomato Soup (Campbells) and we had cheese and bread. So, I looked in the fridge and noticed that we had 4 types of cheese American (the yellow cheese basic stuff) Swiss (a white cheese with holes in it and a wonderful taste) provolone (an Italian cheese commonly seen as a pasta topping cheese along with mozzarella) and mozzarella (the cheese commonly used on pizza.
I got a slice of each type of cheese while the soup was on the stove cooking. I split all four slices of cheese in halves. I put one of each tule on the bread (already buttered) and made the sandwiches. It was delicious and I still make Tomato Soup and 4 cheese grilled cheese sandwiches whenever I feel like it and it's easy on the budget if you are in college or you are down in your luck on funds.
I hope you enjoyed my story and come back for the next one!! Have a wonderful day everyone! My next story will be Ramen Spaghetti.
P.S The reason I split the cheese slices in half is because 4 slices of cheese on on sandwich can be very messy and ruin the sandwich by being soggy while I'm halfs it is the equivalent to two slices of cheese and much more manageable.
