:| I don't get it.

rhetorical question: Why is it that people decide who cares and who doesn't care about someone and even worse than that, who is worthy to care about someone?

I've seen a lot of people [mostly girls tho that could just be sexist] recently say things on every media I frequent like the following: 'I'm one of the only people that cares about so-and-so' and if someone responds 'hey i care too. >:|' it's like they're either completely ignored or told flat out they're not worthy friends for the other people.

Who died and made you determine whether or not as a third party friend, if I'm ~*!*Worthy*!*~ of so-and-so's friendship? That's between me and that person, not you.

If I put forth effort, I'm worthy. :| I don't get how other people determine my worth as a friend and in 'girl world' my worth value seems to be determined by stupid things that shouldn't mean a thing as to how good of a person i am to be quite honest.

I don't know, maybe I'm weird but I honestly find it horribly rude when people dismiss me as someone who isn't 'worthy' to care about a friend.

I am freaking awesome and if you don't like it you can suck it. >:|

this blog entry is like a trip of some sort. i'm confused, you start off caring about friends, then you mention the media so we think it's in the media, then you say people determine your friendship, then you say you're awesome yet this is supposed to be a rhetorical question.

    The term "Media" has several meanings, at least where I live. XD;

The definition I meant, in this instance, is that I've seen this on places [i.e. the different types of media I go to on a daily basis] other than PC including Facepalmbook, Livejournal, Twitter, Myspace and irl as well as on MSN, PC and Skype.

:l Perhaps this is further nonsense caused by being a sheltered child growing up but as an adult, well I'd rather gain information and fix my confusion.

The concept that other people outside a friendship of two people can determine the quality of a friendship they may know next to nothing about just really confuses me.

And yes, I am awesome. n_n

I keep finding that there seem to be qualifications set for who can be so and so's friend and who can't. And so and so doesn't set those rules.

Person A and Person B are friends.

    Person B and Person C

C does not approve of A being friends with B for various trivial reasons.

Why does Person C have a say in what Person A and Person B's relationship is? Why does Person B let them decide who they're friends with and who they're not friends with? Who sets these dumb rules and where can I read them? ee

    That's my question.

That is what I've seen a lot of here on PC. I have no tolerance for people who let others dictate who they are friends with, so yeah...I get what you mean. Any good friend worth having is not going to let another friend dictate who they can become friends with.

Now I will say that peer pressure is something that doesn't go away, but I have far more respect for people who ignore it entirely.
