Thor or Fast & Furious 5 - YOU DECIDE!

Posted May 3rd, 2011 at 9:24 AM by Mr Cat Dog

I have a desire to see SOMETHING at the cinema tonight, but am torn between the two options mentioned above.

I've wanted to see Thor for a while now, but obviously not enough to go out in the two weeks it's been out in the UK. It's also got a vibe of 'good but not great' all around it.

FF5, on the other hand, I had no intention of ever seeing until I read the amazing reviews it's received. I've seen bits of all of the other four, and they've just been OK, but maybe this one is really different?

So, PC peeps: which one should I see? I'm going to leave the house in about 2 hours time (20:30pm BST), so you have until then. I'll honestly go to the film that gets the most votes. Think of the POWAH!

And...................go!

Ah, well, I'm always a fan for Marvel movies, so...I'd see Thor first.
I'm not TOO sure about Thor's actor though...considering how Thor has like a "poetic voice" and this actor is...yeah, doesn't sound like that. XD

I'd much rather see Thor than Fast Five. :/

Just saying, but Fast Five was a really good movie for me. I actually want to go back and see it again. Although, if you've only see bits of the other four, then I'd suggest going with Thor - which is another movie I'm interested in seeing, but haven't done so yet.

T'was quite good, in the end. Below's my Twitter capsule review, to be turned into a full one by Sunday:

THOR (B-): Goofy fun, even when it doesn't want to be. Asgard overwrought, riddled w/clichés. Earth filed with peppy Portman and Hemsworth.

I'd recommend it. Go in with low expectations and you'll be pleasantly surprised; go in thinking it's high art and prepare for epic disappointment.

I've seen Thor as well, pretty much when it came out, and I have to agree with you. It's a good movie, but not really the sort of movie which would be super entertaining for someone with high expectations. I felt the whole Asgard scene before Thor was sent to earth took far longer than usual intros. But Australian actor, so that makes it awesome.

Plus, Thor is my favourite Marvel superhero. <3
