2012 brings new things to discover as well as uncertainty about the future. It also brings more of that 2012 doomsday BS that has been running rampant the past few years, despite common sense and scientists actually proving that the predicted Mayan doomsday will not happen! But that still doesn't stop idiots like Discovery Channel, History Channel, Patrick Geryl and other morons from continuing to shove their doomsday shows and books down our throats!
Since the world will end in 356 days from now (we are in a leap year, so we have the 29th of February), I've decided to have my own fun with this "phenomenon". Don't worry, I'm not going to talk about how the earth will suddenly reverse its magnetic fields or anything like that. I lack the intelligence to make sense of that stuff.
The reason for this title if I'm not going to talk about 2012? A certain 80's song that critics think is probably the worst song in history.

Major problems!

If anyone here @ PC can read this, that snow i took pictures of on Saturday has gotten really bad where i live. We had complete power loss on Saturday night, leaving my Mom and I without lights, heat and phones, both cell and landline. Cell phone service is spotty, but i can get through right now. The snow was heavy due to it being clumped together and there were still leaves on the tress, which the snow weighed down on the branches, causing them to snap and fall on power lines. From what my neighbor told me, many limbs are down along with snapped power lines. The storm cut power to A LOT of people in Western Massachusetts, where i live.
As of right now, i am running out of cell phone power, which i am using to make this blog and we are still without power at my house. My mom and i have candles, heavy blankets, flashlights, batteries and we have our CD player radios tuned to a local station for information about power restoration for surrounding towns.
My mom and i are doing okay right now. And for those of you who want to trade places with me and want snow, please don't. You are better off in your part of the world, without snow. Power loss and no heat is not a good experience. Believe me.

My mom was actually discussing that when we were both freezing yesterday. She told me that they are expensive little things. She told me a good one was around $6500. We don't have that kind of money at all.Posted November 1st, 2011 at 1:19 PM by Mario The World Champion
