An American Scarf in London

I'm going to be traveling in the UK this summer, mostly London and the surrounding area, and I don't have a good idea of what things I should do while I'm there. I also don't know exactly how expensive things can be. Really, I'm going in kind of blind and I'd like someone to shine a little light if they can. What's good? What's a waste of time? What's overpriced? What's worth the cost? That kind of thing.

In particular, I'm a vegetarian and I don't know how vegetarian-friendly the UK is. In other words, am I going to have to live off of salads the whole time I'm there?

Thanks, all!

Well Scarfy. First off, everyone knows that the number one attraction in the United Kingdom is none other than I. A must see for any UK tourist!

OK but seriously I personally think that pretty much everything in London is overpriced lol. The London Eye is probably a waste of time because the queues are so freaking long but you can take some pretty nice photos from high up if you do decide to go. Restaurant main meals are around £10 which I think is pretty expensive though the quality is generally high. Some (if not all) restaurants will have some form of vegetarian food to satisfy your passion for greens. For other meals, just hit up a supermarket or something and you can get some bread and salads or w.e, I'm sure you can work something out there.

If you want to know more about London though, Mr Cat Dog would be a good bet.

I live in the outskirts of London in Surrey and Thorpe Park is in Chertsey which is a theme park. I dunno if you're into that sort of entertainment but if you are then I'd recommend it. It is expensive though, like £40-£50 for a single ticket though I think there are ways to get discounts and such.

There's also Windsor which could make for a nice day out for you and your special someone. There's the castle, a museum and there's a mini golf course as well lol. Legoland is also in Windsor but again, I dunno if that's your cup of tea.
