Come on, now. When people are genuinely asking for feedback, take them seriously.
Anyway, I don't go around VG anymore, but I think the LP forum could use some blossoming. I don't think Klippy's intentions with that forum were ever truly fulfilled, and I think LPing as a whole is starting to die. That forum should be brightened up a bit. Maybe have some sort of contest every so often, or even start up a Let's Play of the Month kind of deal?
Also, encourage more reviews! My first thread in that forum was a review, and I don't even remember seeing many more after that. Reviewing contests could be fun too, especially themed ones. Reviewing your favorite Mario game or FPS or, since we're a Pokemon forum, X and Y. Something like that to give reviews a spotlight, since the forum does have "review" in the title. The same applies to guides! We could use more of those too, otherwise it's just an LP subforum and it can be so much more.Posted January 1st, 2014 at 1:18 PM by Sydian

[s]Don't worry, we're great buds haha. I came back for this though.[/s]
Anyway, getting to this topic, I don't visit VG's section a whole lot, so don't mind if there are any that exist:
You should host tournaments quite frankly. I don't visit that section more, but if you have a DCC, you should ask questions about who has what games, which consoles, etc, & specifically plan a tournament whenever there with everyone debating about it.
Not to mention, you have multiple tournaments you can do. Teams, 1v1's, double elimination, etc, etc. You could do it monthly, to keep those people's specific games entertaining than they were previously. Like whoever becomes champs, they can set out to be champ until they are defeated, they could choose to participate in the future tournaments, or they can be the final battle to see(Like Taboo for SSBB's Boss Battles or the Champions in Pokemon for example) who replaces them & the previous champion can work their way back to the top again if they must.
Or simply just scratch all that, & refresh new tournaments every time haha.
There are multiple games out there. There are so many options to choose from. I, for one, think you should host live stream sections maybe? So people can watch other people play games, whether if its new(if they don't care for spoilers) or an old game for memories.
Do you do franchise vs franchise, a weekly one? Such as Call of Duty vs Battlefield/Halo? Mario vs Sonic? Or you could do it differently like, which would you prefer to play: Mario vs Call of Duty, though it doesn't make sense xD
How about challenges for beating single player campaigns? Like for Super Mario 64, who can get all the stars the quickest? Who can beat Gears of War 2's campaign on hardest difficulty the quickest, Co-Op or Single Player, etc? Sounds like a bunch of work to do, especially if its Emblem related xD
Just throwing ideas out there.Posted January 1st, 2014 at 7:55 PM by Sector
