So, I got my ps4 the other day and right now I only have two games - Destiny and Injustice: Gods Among Us. I was looking around and I saw a Final Fantasy title for £25.
I'll admit I'm not a huge FF follower, but I have played the game and thoroughly enjoy the genre it's in. So, would anyone recommend getting Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn? It looks really good in all honesty, I just want to know if it measures up.
Also, what other games should I get for the ps4? I'm definitely getting GTA V when it's out, and I was looking at getting Watchdogs, but I've been told to steer clear?

As an online game, it's actually really solid. More so if you know people who you can play with (/find a guild who are nice and welcoming!).
I'm a solo player, and I still enjoy it even without company :) Beautiful game, sensible gameplay and a nice difficulty curve! There's plenty to do outside of the main quests as well, which is nice ^^.Posted September 25th, 2014 at 10:21 AM by Mana

WatchDogs is fine if you want a generic, not-that-impressive open-world game. It's not an ounce of the amazingness that the original demo trailers led us to believe it would be. Sad.
Beyond that, The Last of Us Remastered is sure to be great, but I don't know anything else out for PS4 besides inFamous: Second Son, which I hear is also very recommended.Posted September 25th, 2014 at 12:20 PM by Klippy

my bf told me to avoid WatchDogs to be honest, so I'll give it a miss. inFamous looks awesome, he has it so I might just borrow it.Quote:WatchDogs is fine if you want a generic, not-that-impressive open-world game. A co worker highly recommended Watchdogs to me. He said it was one of his favorites.
Ff14 is alright so far. I've had it for a month and it is waaay more fun if you play alongside a friend in a party. Otherwise, it's like pressing 3 commands (rinse and repeat) to kill every enemy so far and not challenging at lol. I'm level 26. The conversating makes it worthwhile. I play with another coworker. There's plenty to do in the game, don't get me wrong. Huge areas and you can train up to level 50 into any/every class on a single character.Posted September 25th, 2014 at 7:29 PM by TwilightBlade

I really wouldn't recommend XIV, I didn't think it was all that great and there's definitely a lot more games that you can download that would be a lot more fun. If there's nothing on the downloads list that interests you (though there's a ton of stuff that I'm sure you'd find more than playable) then I recommend just saving the money and buying something else when it comes out. Thief is definitely a good title, Wolfenstein TNO, Warframe, and Infamous Second Son are all great games too.Posted September 26th, 2014 at 5:08 PM by Sonata
