2012 brings new things to discover as well as uncertainty about the future. It also brings more of that 2012 doomsday BS that has been running rampant the past few years, despite common sense and scientists actually proving that the predicted Mayan doomsday will not happen! But that still doesn't stop idiots like Discovery Channel, History Channel, Patrick Geryl and other morons from continuing to shove their doomsday shows and books down our throats!
Since the world will end in 356 days from now (we are in a leap year, so we have the 29th of February), I've decided to have my own fun with this "phenomenon". Don't worry, I'm not going to talk about how the earth will suddenly reverse its magnetic fields or anything like that. I lack the intelligence to make sense of that stuff.
The reason for this title if I'm not going to talk about 2012? A certain 80's song that critics think is probably the worst song in history.

Where were you on 9/11?
I can honestly say that we all watched a dark moment in American's history take place. Some of us were filled with anger towards Bin laden and his cronies and the images of the Arab world celebrating the attacks, others filled with fear of other attacks, sadness over the loss of life, worry about what will happen next, grief for the victims and their families, along with the brave firefighters who were also lost and despair that something like this had taken place.
But in the aftermath, we dusted ourselves off and this Nation stood united in that day of infamy, which earned its place alongside Pearl Harbor in 12-7-1941.Posted September 12th, 2009 at 7:57 PM by Mario The World Champion

Where were you on 9/11?
I was in my Volleyball/Basketball class(college) and I seen it on the news. I was in total shock when I seen it. And of course after class I had to go to work. I didn't want to be at work. I felt really bad for all those people who died during the attack. It was very scary...very scary indeed.
A few years later when I was in New York with my family we even went to Ground Zero. It was a mind opener for sure.Posted September 12th, 2009 at 7:47 PM by Lucy Lu

Where were you on 9/11?
Sleeping. I was in Japan at the time. I didn't learn about it until well after the fact. Freaked me out at first, because I woke up and my stepdad said "someone attacked the US!!" Wanted to hide under my bed. ;_;
Being on a US air base, it was under lockdown that day. Apparently didn't stop many people from going out anyway.Posted September 11th, 2009 at 4:07 PM by Sammi

Where were you on 9/11?
In an entirely honest, albeit ironic, turn of events, I was in a history class at the time, the instructor was made aware of the situation and decided that we would stop learning about whatever the chapter was that we were studying and turned on the news for us to watch history happening. it was a truly surreal time for all of us in the class. There were only a couple of my classmates who received calls from their parents to check on them.Posted September 11th, 2009 at 6:30 AM by Gerri Shin

Where were you on 9/11?
My first year of college. I wasn't even up for my first class when the guys down the hall knocked on my door and told me something like, "There are planes crashing into the WTC and everything's going crazy!" So I flip on the news and it's already happened.
I remember we still had math class that morning but understandably, History later that day was canceled.Posted September 11th, 2009 at 5:46 AM by Elite Overlord LeSabre™

Where were you on 9/11?
I was homeschooled as we had just moved to a new state, we were staying at my Grandma's house until we got our own house so there was no point in enrolling me and taking me out again.
Me and my sister were working on our books in a "room" (has wide openings, but not really doors) next to the living room with the TV on. We were watching and then when my mother came in we tried to act like we were working because we're not supposed to be watching TV.
She said that it was okay this time and that we should come in the living room and watch it. I think I asked her a lot of questions, and I did see the moment the second tower was hit.Posted September 11th, 2009 at 3:52 AM by Nina

Where were you on 9/11?
Hmm, I was home schooled at the time, and my mother told me no TV, so I didn't find out till late afternoon what had happened. And being 10 and living in the middle of nowhere, I didn't even realise that they were in New York.
I was like "so". It didn't matter much to me at the time, after all I was 10, and probably playing a Pokemon game anyways.Posted September 11th, 2009 at 2:26 AM by Buoysel

Where were you on 9/11?
I was at school. It was the time to leave, when my mother came and told me "Hey, do you know the Twin Towers in NY? Two planes have crashed against them They are still standing, though", and I was o_o.
When we get home, we turned the TV on to see that it was too late already. We spent the rest of the evening watching the news, pretty much.Posted September 10th, 2009 at 11:51 PM by Ivysaur

Wii are having seconds thoughts.
I've got myself the 360, so I know that they got real good games. I've been wanting a PS3 for a while, but if only Sony dropped the frickin' price of the thing.Quote:I would suggest getting something like a 360 or even a PS3, if you want something now that has a good library. I can tell you this: The 360 has a lot of great games, whether or not they're the type you're looking for, I don't know, but there are still a lot of great ones (I myself didn't know if I liked First Person Shooter games until I actually tried Halo out.)
There's more good games for the Wii than most think, and I've tried out several that I thought would honestly suck and I enjoyed them.
Game Reviews tend to overdo things a bit. It's more the fun factor than anything.Posted August 7th, 2009 at 2:36 PM by Mario The World Champion

Wii are having seconds thoughts.
Well, that's become the Wii's major problem. They got this new way to play games, but developers don't know how to fully utilize it and end up making crap for it. Nintendo is just about the only company that makes good Wii games, but they don't make a lot of them in a year.Posted August 7th, 2009 at 7:06 AM by Mario The World Champion

You're really better off with an Xbox or even PS3. :(
I was totally hyped too for the Wii but after like 2 months it's just lame, no really good games except maybe 3 or 4 and no good ones in sight for miles. :(Posted August 7th, 2009 at 3:38 AM by Pazuzu
