Did everyone had fun in this year's Get-Together? I sure did. In fact, I've had plenty of more time to join & participate in events since well...I don't have a whole lot of things to deal with in life other than work, and boyfriend.
The only "For Glory" event I participated was the Blog Off event. I kinda sorta wanted to give it a try, blogging about my successes and failures in life. Representing Team Johto, I'm sure I'll get the gold for this one. [read entry here]
The skype event was the biggest I've hosted in. Capping at almost 100 participants, looks like I'll be quite busy giving out emblems to those people who made this year's skype event fun! Special thanks to Lycanthropy, Kiriyuuki, Sotomura, & other peeps out there for being there at the chat. We make an awesome team, and not to mention, we had so much fun. :) And to those of you who made the skype calls & chats 20% more cooler (Ninja Aiden, TSS_Killer, Jolly Potato, etc), thanks a lot! You guys are awesome peeps.
Not to mention, I was so happy I bought my Wii U for the following events: SSB, Mario Kart & Splatoon! The host of the Splatoon event needed help hosting, so I joined in, making her life easier. I was a Level 9 inkling when I started the event...now I'm at Level 15. Most peeps who participated in the event had reached Level 20 thanks to this event. I'm very close to 20 now, and with the amiibos Roy gave me, I can't wait to use them! No need to wait a little longer. I met some wonderful people such as the host herself, Miracle Seed, as well as Ruby of the Sea, Twisted Cuteness, & others! Plus, I'm walking away with a new nickname: MEANgan. Because well...I love squishing people with my roller. lol.
Lastly, my very own event, Fandom Trivia Stumper, was a success! Sonata & I got a handful of entries, and we're about to work on our answer keys to start stumping our participants. :3 So very glad people liked the event. It was gonna be an FC&G exclusive event, but since this event became pretty successful, I might look at this as something I could do for the section alone. Sonata, I may need your expertise on this one soon!
Kinda wish I participated a little more in some other events. I did participate in the movie event. If only my new 3DS came in the mail a little earlier, I would have had time to participate in the Egg Swap, which was the one event I was looking forward to since the beginning of the year. Hopefully when another one rolls around I hope to participate. :3
It's gonna be a little hard to get back into the normal swing of things after the GT is over. Remember in my previous entry that I treat this as a convention? Yeah. Don't be surprised if you get a little depressed. That's post-GT depression. xD What you can do at least, is to keep in touch with the people you met at the Get-Together. They are new peeps you've added into your circle. And that was the point of the Get-Together, right? Meeting new people! :D
