If you want to know the real me, just turn the page in my dirt road diary.
It’s right there for you to see, every kiss, every beer, every cotton field memory.
Tan legs & some Dixie Land delight, ridin’ round, windows down on a summer night.
I was there, and that was me. It's right here in my dirt road diary.

9 hour shifts suck + meet bentley!

tl;dr: been working 8 hour shifts yesterday, today, and friday after completing my work training last week, got promoted to front-end leader, got a date with a REALLY CUTE GUY tomorrow night (aaaaah), got a new puppy, and if you haven't listened to Pentatonix WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH YOUR LIFE.

okay, long version: go.

I'm actually pretty happy with the job I am right now. I'm at a craft store, I've been ringing up the registers, showing people how to craft, building up aisles with planograms (which are sooo hard and I can't do it alone tbh), and really. I couldn't ask for more. Maybe I shouldn't have asked for more hours because these 8-9 hour shifts I got are a freaking killer. I mean, 9-1 shifts are alright and all but right now my body is killing me. It's also my first time actually working a full-day, so feel free to call me a wimp.

I haven't even been working for a week, and my manager just promoted me to Front-End Leader. It's not much of a huuuuuge promotion, because she's been trying to find two people to alternate between every other day. I start tomorrow, and then I return back to work next Friday and Saturday. Only difference is that I'll have to punch in bright and early at 7:15 to help manager open the store. I can...work with that! And I get paid tomorrow too. YEEEEES.

Despite the anxiety attack I had earlier (in which my manager fully understands about it...because really, planograms are sooo hard. ;;) everything at work right now is going sooo well.

Aside from job life, I went to Taco Bell yesterday to order my usual meal (Doritos Locos Tacos with Mountain Dew Baja Blast. All three tacos FIERY). And I was approached by some really cute guy who was sitting across from me (I was sitting on a booth while I was texting a friend of mine). Then I realized that this guy used to be in my English class a year ago. He hasn't changed since then, and we talked about how our school life has been. After talking so much about our interests (my MLP purse was the first thing he...noticed), he asked me out. And I said yes. At first I didn't know I was thinking, because...ugh, I'm not really the dating type of person...but, heh, we'll see how this goes!~

Oh and if you were part of my Animal Lovers club (y'all should join if you haven't, I need some discussion!) I told my members about my new puppy coming home after the new year. At first I thought I'd be getting a female chihuahua, and naming her Sparkle, but they got the gender wrong when I picked it up, and turned out to be male. I mean...how could they mess up so badly. Furthermore, it took me a while to think of a name, until "Tip it on Back" by Dierks Bentley came on satellite radio. The name Bentley was donned on the new puppy, and right now it's on my shoulder. If you see it right now, you could actually fit this little guy at the palm of your hand. It's incredible.

Here's a picture. Because my iPhone takes GIGUNDO PICTURES, I cba to resize.

also also also isn't this the best version ever? I just bought PTX's new album. Aren't they amazing? :D

I had an 11 1/2 hour shift. So there's that.

I am addicted to Pentatonix. <3 They're not only amazing artists, but really great people.

Have you subscribed to Superfruit? It's basically a vlog by Mitch and Scott that they do very Tuesday. Great fun.
