This week, Ash befriends a Chimchar with a heroic heart.
This episode got majorly rewritten--since Turtwig now belongs to Barry, Ash now gets Chimchar as his Shinou starter, mirroring who I started with when I played Diamond. This will also affect his relationship with Paul, as you will see next time.
Since this episode follows "Bulbasaur and the Hidden Village" almost beat for beat in the real show, I had this remixed version follow the remixed version of that episode. Since Team Rocket doesn't appear in that episodes remix, they're replaced by delinquents here as well (although I do have Brock acknowledge the earlier episode)
I also decided to just have Diddy go with Ash willingly without a battle, as the original version made Diddy come across as a bit ungrateful in my eyes.
Next time, Ash has another encounter with Paul, but the two of them are forced to work together when a battle goes horribly wrong!
