Current mood: Frustrated, stressed, ahhhhhh
Currently listening to: BOAT DOOOOOG! BOAT DOOOOG!
You know, I'm not really a party person.
But then again, that's what Roy really wants. He wants a party where we can invite our friends and spend time and all that stuff. The problem is that (in my opinion) we could have planned this a month ago, like how I did by buying his presents a month early, as well as getting most of the decorations and stuff. His mom pitched in to help out, but she gets these constant worries about stuff like "what do your friends like for food?" "what if they get bored?" "what if the neighbors complain?"
It is SERIOUSLY hard to plan a small get-together when you get bombarded with questions that are deemed unnecessary.
This is why I prefer personal dinner dates rather than big, huge parties that don't require a shitload of money and energy to spend. On my birthdays, take me out to dinner and I'll be happy. Give me gift cards and I'll be happy. Party planning is seriously not my thing. I was already exhausted after compiling the guest list.
Thankfully I have five people coming over. One of them a high school friend of Roy's. We were already planning for a great day.
I just REALLY HOPE it's a good party, and I just hope I know what I'm doing.
