I don't have to be famous to tell you a simple truth.

And it's not going to trust me. It's only a matter of "testing the waters". If you don't like it, don't force yourself to carry on with Pokémon. But do try to test how you like Pokémon every once in a while.

Being popular in a forum, which is laughable to even think of, has nothing to do with this. But rather you, someone I have no real relation with or knowledge of, calling me an ass over a trivial thing is what's wrong. You can call it the truth all you want, but I call it ********, as there's no evidence to back you up as I have done nothing that would be considered offensive here. (As Ozzy knows I was just being lightly sarcastic.) You, on the other hand, did.

And I know from experience. Trying to dedicate yourself to something you lost your interest to just to gain it back is the last thing you want to do. You might not want things to change, but moving is sometimes the best thing to do, and you just have to deal with how things will go.

Okay, that's not important anymore. I really don't care, because I've never and will never talk to you anyways.

But the real thing is, I don't think voluntarily abandoning something you like is such a good idea. Just keep near it, and you'll find interest that way. That's how I've stayed on PC, so I don't see how that shouldn't apply to Pokémon itself.

It's just impossible to enjoy ingame teams because I know they suck and I won't be able to use them for anything after the game :( How do you get around that?

Psh... postgame is the worst! Try thinking of it less from an"Ihavetohavethegamecompletedandhaveastrongstrongteamattheend" and just...play the game (if you want to, of course. Don't force yourself to do something you don't like) Just go through the game and try catching WEAKER pokemon (like the ones on the first routes) and make them stronger! That might give you a sense of accomplishment, while also giving you the simplistic team-building beat the league kind of feel. Then you don't have to worry about having a super complex strong team at the end, because you'll know you're playing JUST FOR THE GAME.

Or, if that's no good, have you thought about Competitive Battling? Could be fun... :D

@Eeveon Wow. xD I'm not that creative though :( Although fan fictions is a good idea, I never thought about reading those. Any suggestions? o3o And I've played challenges so many times that they're all boring now paha xD I did love the PMD games but that's not really the problem; the game can still be fun without thinking about the fact that it's Pokémon x] But I'll try that for sure, thanks :D Maybe Ranger too :D
Yeah, I think I went a bit overboard with that explanation... Sorry! XD Yes, the Ranger series were fun games, too. c: As for a fan fiction to recommend, I have two good ones that I can honestly think of off the top of my head. XD There's this one story called Pedestal that I found to be very enjoyable. :) It's a very long story (160 pages/chapters), but it's very interesting. c: Definitely a favorite of mine. And another one called Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Silver Resistance. It's still updating, but very slowly, since the author has been very busy and is going through some things, I guess. I love both stories, and I hope you find them enjoyable too, if you read them. :)

(It seems the links are the same color as regular text. XD I've made links to the stories for you; just click on their names.)

Alex, speaking of creative discussion, don't think that you suck! If you have good grammar and even the slightest grain of an idea, you can make a story!

Art is not an exact science.

But if it isn't about Pokémon, don't worry! Maybe distracting yourself from Pokémon once in a while is a good thing.

Or, as you said, you can't think of any topics to talk about? That's simple! As you go in irl, take a writing pad or iPod and when you have an idea for a possible topic, just write it down! Don't mind if it's bad, just when you feel like you're in need of a topic, just pick one!

Then again, I probably gave you too many ideas XD but I've been somewhat where you are, and I'm giving you what I did to keep my interest in Pokémon. Ofc some of these things probably won't exactly work for you, but please give them a try! I love having you modding PoC!

Do you have Pokemon Stadium? If not, get it and a transfer pack for the controller. Play through R/B/Y and transfer your team onto Stadium and try to beat Rounds 1 and 2 with said team(s). So not only do you get to play through a simpler game without all of the mechanics you were talking about earlier, but you also get a post game challenge on probably the best and hardest Pokemon spin-off game ever.

That's the only thing I can really think of other than what's been mentioned by some already. I'd definitely suggest playing the older games though for nostalgia purposes. Good luck :).

That's actually a really good idea, I think I'll try that later today :D I did always love Stadium but I never tried beating the story, I always stuck to the cup battles haha.

Tbh my interest is starting to return now due to droomph's idea of posting around so I have to talk about them, so hopefully it'll continue \o/
