I'm finally back from Japan, and I had a blast!

For the first three days, we stayed at Tokyo. We went to the Tokyo Metropolitan Park, and the flowers there were absolutely beautiful.

For the last three days, we went to Yokohama. When we rode on the bullet train, my dad and one of my sisters got separated from us because I couldn't get the bags out fast enough. Other than that, the trip was fine; we spent it shopping for things we wanted. I, for one, went to the Yokohama...

Over the past couple of days, I've been chipping in at the GTS to up the count for the Fancy Vivillon and fill in some Pokedex pages.

Among my trades were:
-Drill Run/Knock Off/Megahorn Escavalier (traded a Shelmet for a Karrablast up for grabs; on a random note, I've been hoping to have it for ages)
-Encore/Memento Cottonee (planning on breeding that thing since it had the wrong nature)
-Turtwig (the only starter I needed anyways and I nearly forgot I had a...

I'd like to apologize for being somewhat arrogant in competitive battling terms. While I do enjoy giving out advice for other people's teams, it kind of irked me that those people didn't use ideal moves/EVs/the like. I also tended to get annoyed when situational moves were brought into the mix.

Is there a way for me to help me have a positive outlook in competitive battling?

Why do some people believe that Pokémon is getting worse each generation? I'm asking this because I have a college classmate who believes that only Pokémon Red/Blue/Yellow are the best games and that Black/White are the worst games. He states this as a fact, not an opinion.

Can anyone here help me convince him that Pokémon just keeps getting better and better each generation?

I haven't used this blog in quite some time, so I'm throwing out a couple questions out for you guys.

Do you still play Pokémon? Why or why not? What aspects of Pokémon do you still like?
