Okay, as many of you may have known, last night was The Eurovision Song Contest 2012.

I'm going to give you my comments on the top 10, then tell you what I think the order should've been.
As you may know, 26 countries were in the final, and the other countries didn't get past the semis - sadly.

TOP 10 OPINIONS YAAAAY (warning: bias and uneducated)

1st (372 points) - Sweden ~ Euphoria by Loreen
Awful. I hate this song. It shouldn't have one, the song wasn't particularly Eurovision and regardless of her good voice it was generally a bad song and I despise it.

2nd (259 points) - Russia ~ Party for Everybody by Buranovskiye Babushki
Very cute song, very Eurovision - A bunch of old women making pastries! I really enjoyed this, probably not 2nd place worthy but it was a nice song!

3rd (214 points) - Serbia ~ Није љубав ствар by Željko Joksimović
This is a nice song, he had a powerful voice and he was kinda attractive too! The lyrics were beautiful when you see the translation, deserving of this spot.

4th (150 points) - Azerbaijan ~ When the Music Dies by Sabina Babayeva
I like this, but because it was the host countries song I don't think it should have done this well, there were better songs in this contest.

5th (146 points) - Albania ~ Suus by Rona Nishliu
This was an amazing song, I really really liked it, she deserved a higher spot than this! Sure she looked ridiculous but she held some excellent notes and the song itself was just amazing.

6th (120 points) - Estonia ~ Kuula by Ott Lepland
This was a nice song, not very memorable but he was hot so I'm not complaining.

7th (112 points) - Turkey ~ Love me Back by Can Bonomo
I don't know how this did so well, it was awful. Absolutely awful. He couldn't sing, the lyrics were awful, the only good thing about this was the presentation and his looks.

8th (110 points) - Germany ~ Standing Still by Roman Lob
One of my favourites, he was hot as. And the song was beautiful, all I have to say is I wouldn't ever walk away from him.

9th (101 points) - Italy ~ L'amore è Femmina by Nina Zilli
This was a favourite to win, if you have a listen you'll see why - It was really good! Probably not the best, I think 9th is a suitable place.

10th (97 points) - Spain ~ Quédate Conmigo by Pastora Soler
This is by far the best song in the competition, this woman has a beautiful, powerful voice. It would've been awful if she'd sung it in English and watching it brought a tear to my eye, deserved first place, it was perfect, she has one of the best voices I've heard in a long time.

My Top 10~~~

1st Place - Spain ~ Quédate Conmigo by Pastora Soler (10th)
2nd Place - Austria ~ Woki mit deim Popo by Trackshittaz (42nd)
3rd Place - Finland ~ När jag Blundar by Pernilla (33rd)
4th Place - Belgium ~ Would You? by Iris (38th)
5th Place - United Kingdom ~ Love Will Set You Free by Englebert Humperdinck(25th)
6th Place - Romania ~ Zaleilah by Mandinga (12th)
7th - Cyprus ~ La La Love by Ivi (16th)
8th - Ukraine ~ Be My Guest by Gaitana (15th)
9th - The Netherlands ~ You and Me by Joan Franka (36th)
10th - Croatia ~ Nebo by Nina Badrić

A completely serious and non-facetious question: what makes something 'very Eurovision'?

Very good question. It's simple really, a very Eurovsion song is the height of cheesy. Russia succeeded in this.

I also have a serious question: if everyone thinks Eurovision is a big joke (I've been told), why does anyone care who wins?

Most of these people are from countries who haven't won in many years (or ever) and are butthurt over it.

I don't think it's a joke and I care who wins.
