here's another "I've been tagged" blog! :P I was tagged by Jelli (Powalen).
1)What is your name (first, whole, doesn't matter)? If you're uncomfortable disclosing your name, then tell us where your username came from.
My name is Whitney! My current username is a magic spell from one of my favorite Japanese anime/manga series, Fairy Tail. It is a type of magic based off of the stars, the name plays off of the name of the star "Altair." I chose it because I thought it sounded pretty cool and I love Fairy Tail. My original username, Lapras*, came from the fact that I literally had just played the part in Mystery Dungeon where you ride on a Lapras and I couldn't think of anything else so I picked that. I can be unoriginal sometimes :(
2)How did you find the Pokecommunity, and why did you join?
I joined PC because another Pokemon website I was on went to ****, and I wanted somewhere I could go to fangirl about the Pokemon games since I don't really have friends in real life who like the games at all. I joined because it was smaller and less intimidating to me at the time than Smogon and Serebiiforums. :)
3)What is your current stance on Pokemon, the franchise? Are you still in love with it, or is it something that you consider part of your childhood?
I wouldn't say it was either of those things. I mean, I'm still going to purchase Pokemon games as they come out and get excited over new games but I don't think I would say I'm in love with it. I've had a lot of fun playing games but I won't really devote hours of my time to playing Pokemon games anymore. I think the series is just always going to be a series that I play, maybe I'll go from purchasing almost every game to just one every few that come out.
4)If you could meet one person from PC in real life, who would that be? Name others if you want, but who is the main person?
One person? Tough. One person I would love to meet, though, is Nica (Forever) since she was my first friend from PC and we have been talking for like two years or something (WOW it's really been that long). There are so many other people though, I would love to meet a lot of you ;_;

Despite my tendency to use all caps and excessive punctuation on Showdown, I believe that I am actually a very shy person. I live in on the west coast of the US. I like making new friends. My favorite subject is biology and I want to be a vet. I like studying languages. I read really fast. My birthday is the same as Pokemon's. I watch too much anime. Cold weather > hot weather. I love cats. I'm kind of awkward. My favorite color is blue. I can't stay up past 1AM on weekdays without being a zombie the next day. I can't drive. My favorite TV show is Lost. I PREFER TYPING IN CAPS, to me it seems like excitement, not yelling. I'm okay with being alone sometimes. I probably spend too much time on the internet. I'm a member of Smogon forums as well. I can listen to a song over and over and not get tired of it. I'm very forgetful and easily distracted. I can't play an instrument. Okay maybe I should stop now lol.
