When I was young, at the wee age of 8, my old brother played Final Fantasy 7 and sucked me into video games and more importantly Final Fantasy faster than that Tornado sucked in Dorthy's House.

As a grew up, I played about 8 different Final Fantasies over the course of my life. And I loved them all! Well, except for two of them (FFXII & FFXIII). Anyway the point is I love this series and It brings back memories from my childhood and from me growing up.

The adventures I went through, the lessons I learned, the characters I've met and traded blows with. Final Fantasy has been a staple in my life.

So, this Christmas, I went buck wild. I recently purchased a PlayStation 3 Super Slim 12GB (Super bad, idea. Now I have buy the upgrades, no biggy, tots worth it) and bought 3 Final Fantasy games.

Final Fantasy 6, 7 and 8.

Now Final Fantasy 6, I tried on the GBA Emulator, mainly because the people in VG section here saw it in such a good light. I said to myself-I said: "Tim? What kind of fan would you be if you didn't try every FF game that was available to you?" and I said to myself. "Well, Tim, you wouldn't be a fan." With that said, once I was fairly captivated by FF6, I uninstalled the emu and Rom (as I believe if you're playing a rom you don't really own the game and have accomplished nothing in it, even if you beat it.) and hustled over to PSN and bought the game.

Final Fantasy 7, I've mastered, completely, I've wrecked the game time and time again. I buy it solely for nostalgia and because it was the first the FF game I ever played and most likely the first game I've played in my life. I bought that the day I bought my PS3 (I bought FF6 about a week later)

Final Fantasy 8, I've only played a handful of times and never made it too far each time. So I bought, downloaded and installed this from PSN just about 12 minutes ago and it's waiting for me now.

So there you have it. It's time for a FF-Binder!

Merry Christmas, Tim!

(and to everyone who read this too! =D)

You originally played FF6 on the GBA? It's a good idea that you got the PSN version, since it's based upon the SNES version, which has superior graphics and sound over the GBA version.

I know right, I noticed. I'm happy I up-downgraded. Lol.

Without spoiling too much, does the GBA version have the CG cutscenes or did they omit that?

given that the playstation can display up to 16 million colors while the GBA only has around 32 thousand.........
