No, she did not cry a river and drown the whole world. However, the first part of that song is still relevant. Very recently, a wonderful series of events have happened for myself and for once, it has a happy ending...well, it currently is resulting in some very happy stuff. I've always had this really bad notion that if I start celebrating about something too soon that I'll just jinx myself, but I'm too excited to keep these emotions kept inside so instead I'm just going to blog about them.

Daily Music - "A Dream Of You And Me" by Future Islands[/b]
Spoiler:
It all started about a month ago at the job I work at, which if you don't know is a local movie drive-in. I came in one day from work and when I closed the door behind me I saw one of the most beautiful girls that I've ever seen. And usually when people say that it may seem like an exaggeration, but I am not kidding in this case. It was most definitely one of the moments where your mind starts racing but then automatically you believe that girl is out of your league. It might just be a self confidence thing - I've had numerous people tell me I'm very attractive and I've hadmy constant share of relationships, but when it comes to equating or above that to the opposite gender my mind switches to the movie "She's Out of My League" - but I digress. Either way in the following weeks we began chit chatting with one another and it made work very enjoyable and a treat for myself. She would be working in the kitchen area while I worked the main floor, so I'd always find excuses to come back their and talk to her. As a result, a friendship between the two of us was quickly established, and then the heavy stuff started hitting.

Daily Comic - "Adversity" by Charles M. Schulz of Peanuts
Spoiler:
I found out inadvertently from my friend - who also worked there, he worked in the kitchen as well - that he had a crush on the same girl I liked. Of course, that got me a little worried and a barrage of pessimistic thoughts passed through my mind as she actively talked with him as well, but I was honest with my friend and told him that I liked her as well, and whatever happened happened. I believed thing in my opinion. Him and I are very good friends and we look out for each other, and we both wanted to make sure that a girl wasn't going to dictate (or even unfortunately end) due to one accidentally hurting the other person's feelings. However, it seemed at the time fate wasn't on my side. My friend was quicker on the draw and asked her for her number, and she had glady obliged. Although I tried to downplay it, I was of course a little pissed off about the whole situation, but I had to be happy for my friend because I wasn't going to try to break apart a pending relationship. However, when I had woken up the next morning though, I got one of the most splendid surprises: a text message from her. I guess what had happened was she had actually asked my friend - the guy who liked her - for my number and he actually gave it to her. I felt absolutely bad that the circumstances turned on him like that, but at the same time was thrilled at the fact that it turned in my favor. Call me a horrible person if you want, but nonetheless I was very, very happy.

Spoiler:
Fast forward another week and I finally had the courage to ask her out on a date. We went to go see 22 Jump Street, got some ice cream afterwards, and then...got the privelage to kiss her. My heart was absolutely raising at the moment and I wanted to jump for joy (luckily I didn't, because that most likely would have weirded her out haha), and that was the beginning of the solidification of our now current relationship. I officially asked her out on the 4th of July and we've been goin strong since. Like I've said, I've been in my share of relationships in the past - some good, some bad - and I honestly cannot think of a time where I've been happier than I've been in the time I've spend with this girl. She's affectionate, humble, and most importantly - for me at least - not a person who needs to be patrolled 24/7. We went to a party the other week - a party she invited me to so I could meet her friends - and we both just did our own things which was great. I've very social and easy going when it comes to meeting new people, so I socialized with a lot of the guys while she socialized with her girl friends. We still spent a lot of time with each other, but it wasn't forced which was great. And I got to sleep over that night at her friend's house too with her, so that was also pretty great (; Nonetheless, I'm very excited to see where this relationship goes for the both of us: she'll be going down to North Caroline for 3 months in the Fall for college, so that will be a trying time for both of us. However, like I've said before, I'm welcome to the challenge, as this once out-of-my-league girl is definitely worth fighting for, and I'll do everything in my power to keep this relationship going.

What about you guys? How are your current relationships going? Do you have a girl or guy that you're eyeing that you want to ask out? What's holding you back? Comment below as I'd love to hear and discuss with you what you have to say about this topic

This reminds me that I should text my bf later on today. Right now we're doing super awesome, despite his health and such, but aside from that we're still going strong. :)

It's weird, I was always bitter and grudgy towards love and relationships. I was more interested in becoming a crazy cat lady living forever alone...buuuuut it all changed this year though. It's funny how these kinds of feelings are too powerful to change one's opinion.

Enough about me, I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU! <3 You are the bravest man ever, and I wish you all the best in your current relationship. I can imagine you are head over heels for this girl.

Hey i'm happy for you dude. I know I often get the "she's out of my league" syndrome and while I have overcome it multiple times it's never worked out as good as your situation. So congrats!

Be happy for me bro ;_;
