Although this is a bit more recent thought of mine, I've been thinking of leaving PC for a while, meaning I'd either be gone, or I'd stalk invisibly but not make any posts. I'd likely be on for my birthday, and I'm thinking of making January 1, 2011 my return day if anything.
There are a few reasons why I want to take a break; the main one regarding how I am treated. Quite a few people have treated me like a child, despite me being just as mature as them. Quite a few people (some of those being the same who treat me like a child) have also made fun of me, and it always seems like whenever someone else is acting the same way as me, those people consolidate that someone rather than make fun of them. Hell, it seems whenever someone else complains another person will feel sorry for them, but whenever I complain (and I'm not even complaining as much as others), I get yelled at or made fun of.
Another reason is that yes, I have been a bit on the negative side lately, despite preaching that good things will happen if you think positively while the opposite will happen if you think negatively. And because of this, I have hurt people, put them in a bad mood, or even turn them against me. This is the reason that most convinces me that taking a break would be best.
One final reason is that I just feel "disconnected" from others. People whom I was good friends with last year seem to have suddenly changed on me and now treat me as if I were a stranger to them. Of course, maybe it is I who have changed. I do believe I have changed in some ways, but maybe those people see me as someone who changed for the worst and not the best.
Of course, if I do leave, where would I go? I can't think of many places other than iSketch, where I'm more "in the loop" with people who share similar interests as me. If I really do go through with temporarily leaving PC, finding another place to distract me from going against my word and coming back here before the expected time is quite the obstacle. And I would occasionally have AIM/MSN up in case anyone would want to chat with me (though no one ever seems to do so anymore). And if I do leave, it'll probably be tomorrow or Sunday.
