I've battled Kanto gym leaders an innumerable amount of times in my life time. Sabrina is no exception. After purging Lt. Surge with an army of under-leveled water-types, I thought it'd be cool to try and conquer the rest of the Gym Leaders with some enjoyable strategies or pokemon. I've heard from quite a bit of people that Clair was a difficult gym leader. Seeing as I don't use items, I figured this gym may pose a challenge. I don't think of Clair as a gym leader, though. I see her as a pre-step for Lance. If you can't handle Clair, how can you expect to take down the infamous champion, right?
