I am currently watching Shutter Island. I have seen it before, but I thought I would watch it again.

However, I just noticed something odd. When Chuck gets up to get a glass of water for the woman they are interviewing (I forget her name) he comes back with a glass of water, nearly full. Goes to a shot of the woman drinking but, OH WAIT! WHERE IS THE GLASS?!

I know this film is suppost to play with your mind, but is that really meant to be on purpose? Or is it a continuity error?

What is this I don't even

That is probably one of, if not the, most embarrassing and most blatant erroneous omissions I have heard/seen from any movie. At least Pokemon's first movie, Mewtwo Strikes Back, had an excuse for the "Team Rocket Pokemon misidentification" issue, because it could have been intended. This, however, does not. I mean, the actress even knows she doesn't have anything in her hand when she's cupping it for a scene to "drink" water. Is it so hard to grab another glass cup just for shooting these few seconds?

Fail of a new degree. -_- Although I haven't seen the movie yet, so I don't if it is supposed to be a "Mind Screw" as the OP said...
