This week, the gang learns how to make Poffins, but the lesson takes a terrifying turn when the admins crash everything.
This was one of those episodes that worked well when transferred to a different evil team. This time, Mars and Jupiter have a reason to crash the Poffin making class--they think the Poffins will bring about their new world.
The Poffin making scene was based on how you do it in Diamond and Pearl, not the Platinum version (since I played Diamond for Gen 4). Ash doesn't do quite so badly in the remix, but his first attempt still tastes horrible.
I did hint at Brock's Lotad now Ludicolo Lilly and his stowaway when his team raves about his Poffin--she'll get a chance to taste a Poffin before too long.
I also foreshadowed Ash getting a Roserade and honored my own Roserade in Rosie--but Gaia won't reach Roserade form until Kalos (her storyline continues in Saviors of Destruction)
I sped up the battle and had Ash use his Swanna Song to power up Rosie and call back to the legend of Floaroma Town at the beginning--this is why Forsythia compares it to the story at the end.
Next time, Dawn crosses paths with Barry again as the Contest and the Fantasy Stage get underway!
