PC and CSS Tutorials
Written by Trev

Greetings, fellow PC members! My name is Trever, and today I'm starting my blog that will focus on teaching the members of PC about CSS. Admittedly, a lot of members already know how to do this, and a lot really don't care for CSS, but if I can help even one person make a post with some quality CSS, I've achieved my goal.

You might be wondering: "Trev, why is there no CSS on in this CSS tutorial? Shouldn't your CSS tutorial...

Testing testing not-so-experimental CSS properties

Posted June 1st, 2012 at 9:43 AM by Legendary Silke (Diaries of a Quadruped)

I wonder whether I can get away with not prefixing anything, even with these so-called "cutting-edge" CSS?

Well? I think I like the current state of browser competition.

The browser is not what you expect. (The tags are a big giveaway)

This might be the first step going away from vendor prefix hell

A CSS Workshop blog series

Now that I have a good idea of how CSS works, I wonder whether I should start off a CSS Workshop blog series.

Ideas? Comments? What would you like to see in the series?

I might do things a little bit simplified, though.

Text-shadow and working with it?

This clearly does not work with Internet Explorer older than 10.

This works in every other browser AND Internet Explorer versions 4-9.

This will only work on Internet Explorer versions 4-9.

I guess there's almost always a workaround for a lot of things, huh? Maybe I can put what I just learned to style my club's first post further.

New signature, huh?

Posted December 29th, 2011 at 2:08 AM by Legendary Silke (Diaries of a Quadruped)

I decided to dump the old signature format. Now comes a new signature, eh? There's a quirk to it, though. I somehow spent the time to make sure that the signature shows up with all the bells and whistles on IE7/8. Yeah, these two ooooooooold browsers. Now, I wonder why...?

(No, my signature will never render correctly in IE6. Don't even bother with THAT.)
