This blog mostly contains my latest escapades in the Pokémon fandom. Be it related to the games, the anime, my collection, or PC itself, this blog should have it. I assume this will mostly be filled with collection updates, since that's my main interest in the fandom, but we shall see. Thanks for reading!
If you're interested in my gaming habits outside of Pokémon, you might be interested in my Gamespot blog, perhaps. If you want my day-to-day ramblings, check out my Livejournal. The latter may have questionable content or not-quite-PG ratings, so use discretion. :P

First level 100
Posted April 29th, 2011 at 1:10 PM by Cherrim
Soooo yesterday was my first Cherrim's birthday (or anniversary of when we met, anyway). I vowed to get him to level 100 before then LAST year and totally forgot but this year I did it!

Meet Marluxia the Cherrim. :) I nabbed him as a Cherubi from a honey tree on April 28th, 2007 while sitting in Philosophy class--it was my homeroom in senior year. I didn't even LIKE Cherrim back then (and couldn't stand Cherubi xD). My friend and I were just making up teams for Organization XIII from Kingdom Hearts and both agreed that Cherrim was hilariously perfect for Marluxia (both use the cherry blossom motif). So I caught one to name after him. And then bought a plush and gave it the same name a month later and... after that, Cherrim pretty much became my favourite Pokémon ever.
But your first level 100, you say? Yeaaah that's embarrassing, isn't it? :( I've been in the Pokémon fandom and played all the main games since Red version and this is my first legitimately trained level 100. I used the rare candy glitch to level up my Pokémon in Red and since then the only 100s I had were events or Pokémon traded to me. So I'm kind of proud that my first one ever is my favourite Pokémon.
(don't hate on his nature lmao, he was the first cherubi i could find and i didn't expect to even keep him in my party back then. ;o;)

Congrats on completing your Cherrim's training, Lighting! ^^ (it's a bit weird to see a male Cherrim, not to mention finding out that Marluxia's a guy ಠ_ಠ)
It's a bit weird that I have more Level 100s than you despite you playing for longer than me...why do I keep finding out that people rarely train Pokemon to Level 100? I thought it was a common occurrence! :<
I wish the best of luck to your Cherrim in battles! But I hope it can survive a few Flamethrowers and the like despite that Hardy nature.. >.<Posted April 29th, 2011 at 2:02 PM by fenyx4 -
When I think Cherrim, I think I'm the only person in the world who associates it more with being male than female. xD;
Also I don't do a lot of battling. :'D I prefer filling my Pokédex and even that I don't really do much. I barely train my teams much higher than level ~60 because that's usually all it takes to beat the E4 once.Posted April 29th, 2011 at 2:09 PM by Cherrim -
