If you see me see post here in the next few days or weeks , I'm typing my post with this .
Spoiler:

Today my keyboard called it quits and stopped working on me. We tried replacing it with a Mac keyboard , but none of the ones we have don't work either . So until my dad can replace it , I'm using the On-Screen Keyboard that came with the computer . It definitely takes much longer cause I have to use a mouse instead of a keyboard . But I'm used to using the 3DS keyboard which is similar so hopefully I adjust quickly. Good thing too is it has a prediction thing similar to the 3DS/Wii so that definitely makes the process faster.

I have no clue how long it will take to get a new keyboard . With my dad's financial situation , it could take days or weeks . He could be able to buy a replacement with his next paycheck or he could have to wait until he gets his tax refunds.

This doesn't mean I'm gonna be inactive for a while. I have a 3DS , the public library's computers ,and my campus ' computer s I can post from. So I should stil be on here, it just gonna take longer to post and reply to things. It will be frustrating at times , but I'll get through it.

How funny enough we're both plagued with computer issues... however mine's a bit more worse since it has a chance of making me inactive.

But yeah, at least you're not leaving that's for sure. Hope you get your new keyboard soon!

If you have a microphone at all, you might wanna consider trying to figure out a dictating program instead. I think the accessibility one that comes default with Windows was pretty good the last time I needed to use it. I mean it's still frustrating but once you get the hang of it it's probably faster than the on-screen keyboard. :(

Regardless, man... that sucks. I hope you can get a replacement soon!

It's insane, I didn't have a keyboard for 3 months, and learnt how to use the computer without a mouse with the [TAB] key.
How'd you do that? Is there something that's easier?

That might work too if any microphone works. I'm guess it works best when there's not a lot of noise in the room. Since this is a shared computer and it is in our TV room, then there can be a good amount of noise going on at once, especially when the TV is on. I'm gonna hate this. I'll have to type all my school papers at a library cause there's no way I'm typing and 2-10 page essay using an on-screen keyboard . D:
