Mood: Being proactive.

With summer almost coming to an end and college just about to start, my job will - thankfully - be ending very, very soon. For the past two months, I've been working my arse off at a daycare with the pursuit of becoming a Kindergarten teacher. With the normal school year over, a daycare was one of my only options at the moment in order to gain the experience needed for my endeavor. However, unfortunately, this job hasn't exactly met my expectations, which I'll go more indepth in the ensuing paragraphs.

Spoiler:
Unfortunately, the staff personal that I work with seem very unmotivated. Or rather, there doesn't seem to be a lot of "passion" behind what they are doing in the workplace. Granted, many of these people are part time employees which could basically mean they are just there for a paycheck at the end of the day, but for a person like myself who is very passionate when it comes to teaching and giving these kids a constructive education, it's very irritating at times to see the teacher's neglect this aspect of their school tenure.

Daily Comic - "Shapes" by Bill Amend of FoxTrot
Spoiler:
Let me be more specific for you guys. For this summer, the place which I work at has a summer curriculum in place where the kids are learning about countries around the world and their accompanying cultures through lesson plans and art projects that we give them. However, because I work just as a teacher's assistant and not as an actual teacher, I don't have control over what is actually being planned. So, their are a lot of days where the teacher will just slap a project in front of them with little to no reasoning behind it, and thus it makes me believe that the students aren't actually learning anything.

Daily Video - "Minecraft is for EVERYONE - Starbomb" by RubberNinja
Spoiler:
Take the picture above for example. The little circular construction papers were supposed to be sushi pieces in the end for our Japan unit. However, a lot of kids didn't even know what they were doing with the pieces because the teachers didn't give a shit about it. Thus, I put a little bit of my own Pokemon spin on the project - as well as teaching the kids what exactly sushi was and it's significance in relation to Japan - and the above was the final product. I just very much wish that my passion could be equally found in the other staff, and thankfully I don't have to put up with this that much longer (I end my job there at the end of the month.)

What about you guys? Have you ever worked at a job that truly frustrated you? Comment below as I'd love to hear and discuss with you what you have to say about this topic!

Even jobs you love can be frustrating at times. I loved working as a tutor in a sense but always had terrible students xD

Hopefully everything will be all good with whatever you do next!
