I Don't Want Any More Blood Stains On My Streets~

i can't afford a diary, so this will have to do
n. the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own—populated with their own ambitions, friends, routines, worries and inherited craziness—an epic story that continues invisibly around you like an anthill sprawling deep underground, with elaborate passageways to thousands of other lives that you’ll never know existed, in which you might appear only once, as an extra sipping coffee in the background, as a blur of traffic passing on the highway, as a lighted window at dusk.

I do not know where to begin.

I live in a small city compared to most. A humble population of 50,000 roughly. And within this city or county as it is, i live in a small community of little over 1,500 people. It is one of the larger ones in my area.

Winter 2008. I am walking home one morning. I am entering my estate. Police, blocking off one entry to part of the estate. I look over expecting a car crash or the likes. But no. I see a chawlked outline of a persons body.

Later that day "17 year old Roman stabbed to death for trying protecting his friend from being mugged"

Young boy murdered no more than 300 metres away from my home. A young boy i knew to see popping into the shop and buying his usual can of coke and a lion bar, was now dead. He was seventeen.

Limerick City.
My home, where i grew up.
Famously called "Stab City"

Stab city you may ask.... Well it did not gain the title recenly It has been known as the such for many many years due to the stabbings going on in the city. It went from stabbings to shootings all too slyly and due to it, a lot more killings.

Whenever i turn on the news. "Found dead"
Whenever i go into town "Was murdered"
Whenever i read the newspaper "Gangland killings"

There are hundres of killings a year in my area alone.

Think about that.
Hundreds of people.
Those hundreds of people are equal to the hundreds you probably know.

There is nothing more trajic than the loss of life.

I apologize for the serious blog... But..

This makes me think of my best friend who was murdered on the 12th of November. Or the 11th, I forgot. He was stabbed three times in the heart, and yes, there is nothing more tragic than the loss of life. Serious blog entries aren't bad, you know.

I truely am sorry to hear that. I've never had someone close to me murdered as such but i've had so many taken away from me when they were to young to go... I know how the loss of life effects a family. I don't think a family can feel devistation like losing one of it's members.
I know but i don't wanna seem all serious and down. Just something thats been bothering me for a long time.
Too many innocent lives are been taken on the streets nd it's not fair.
