2012 brings new things to discover as well as uncertainty about the future. It also brings more of that 2012 doomsday BS that has been running rampant the past few years, despite common sense and scientists actually proving that the predicted Mayan doomsday will not happen! But that still doesn't stop idiots like Discovery Channel, History Channel, Patrick Geryl and other morons from continuing to shove their doomsday shows and books down our throats!
Since the world will end in 356 days from now (we are in a leap year, so we have the 29th of February), I've decided to have my own fun with this "phenomenon". Don't worry, I'm not going to talk about how the earth will suddenly reverse its magnetic fields or anything like that. I lack the intelligence to make sense of that stuff.
The reason for this title if I'm not going to talk about 2012? A certain 80's song that critics think is probably the worst song in history.

Guilty Pleasures: Goodbye, Cruel World!

It's now time for another installment of my Guilty Pleasures series, where I talk about the things where it's wrong to do, but you can't stop yourself.
Grand Theft Auto IV and its two chapter add-ons The Lost and Damned and the Ballad of Gay Tony, is one of my favorite games of all time. I consider it to be one of the best games of all time, but that's just me. The landscape of Liberty City is so huge that there are still a few places in the game that I have not yet discovered, plus it's always fun to cause havoc by killing people, jacking cars, getting into gunfights with gangs and the police and just being totally evil. There was one thing that really bugged me about GTA IV, the cops respond to just about anything bad you do, but it does keep you alert and on your toes too.
However, there's one thing I love doing in that game that makes this one of my guilty pleasures: Killing myself!!
I always get a kick when I kill myself whether it's from accidental or deliberate. Most of the time it's deliberate. I get a twisted kick out of blowing myself up with grenades, sticky bombs, driving in cars and getting blown up, getting run over by a fast car, leaping out of helicopters without a parachute, parachuting to the ground from high in the sky and releasing it and many other methods of madness.
However, there are funny moments where I ended up killing myself that I didn't expect. I remember this one time I was fleeing from the cops and they made me crash hard and I crashed through the car's windshield. As I was getting back up and tried to make my escape, a speeding cop car came out of nowhere and ran me over real good! I mean, the cop car just flattened me like a pancake!! Too bad I had no way of recording that. I would have put that up on the Internet.
Another funny moment where I killed myself was in the Ballad of Gay Tony. I was speeding along a long stretch of highway when I saw a traffic jam. I hit the brakes and tried to get to the side of the road where the lane there was open, but I hit something and I flew out of the car via the windshield. The car still had some speed left in it and without a driver, it careened towards me. All of a sudden, my car just ran me over! I got ran over by my own car! I never laughed so hard.
