I actually read that title as "15 years of Lornami" @ the index page

Anyways, the first days at college are always the most awkward, I know how it feels. in my English class, my professor set me up to introduce myself to 10 different students, as if they're my blind dates or something lmao xD

I found the answer to this on the first day of my freshman college year (last week). Just talk to them like they're already your friends. But it only applies if they come up and talk to you first. Otherwise, you can't tell when someone returns the favor or thinks you're just creepy or intrusive.

Bring a book with you and read it in view of people. People always bother you when you try to read. Instant conversation starter.

Ughh I know. Everyone is glued to their cell phones. Only way I make friends is if they ask me a question about the homework lol.

I'm on my phone so you'll have to forgive me if something gets messed up.

@Leaf Storm
Fact: I am a junior in college and 15 years old. I am also a pickachu. Lol no

Gosh I hate icebreakers! I mean we even had an icebreaker first PROJECT in speech and it didn't really make me and my partner friends.

@Taro Tanaka
Actually this has helped me when applicable. The problem though is me being a junior most people already have friends to talk to in class, so no one really approaches me.

@Lozz
Turning 21 the 20th. I'll get back to you with the results of that particilar technique in a few weeks.

@Scarf
That's very true. I made my first friend in a new school by talking about a book he was reading. I WAITED UNTIL HE WAS DONE THOUGH.

Also I've been reading ebooks recently so that doesn't lok the same...

Try and step out of the box. If they are on their cellphones and dont look too busy say something about a new cell app you heard about, or ask them about what smartphone they have and if it is good or etc.

I guess that's probably a good idea. Even though 90% of them will have iPhones. I guess that would be a good opening for an andriod user like me haha.

I'm a junior in college too this year and I know what you mean. It's also kind of awkward to join clubs for the first time your junior year and stuff, so it's just awkward all around looking for new friends that aren't friends of friends haha. Good luck!
