Yeah, so, this is my blog. I won't post here all the time, but I'll occasionally post some stuff about my thoughts, feelings, and happenings. Essentially, this is my journal on deviantArt, without the deviantArt.

Introduction/Prologue Thing

Posted September 15th, 2009 at 7:11 PM by Alistair

My name is Jax. Yeah, like that guy from Mortal Kombat. I was named Jax because my parents wanted me to be different. Well, I'm different, all right. Since my birth, I've had a six on the back of my neck. For some reason, I'm the only one that can see it. If I ask someone if it looks I have something on my neck, they always say no, unless Im wearing a scarf or something.
The day I turned six is the day I found out about my... condition. I wouldn't call it a curse, but I wouldn't call it a blessing, either. Yet, at least. I am a fallen angel, one who was born from the intentions of the Devil. I have no horns, but that six might as well be them.
There are two others like me, each having the six on the back of their neck. When we three meet, our reality will be consumed by Hell, becoming a land of no color, of no life, of no consciousness, and of no thought. Earth will be nothing but a collision of planes, imploding on eachother and creating nothing.
These aren't my words, oh no. I could never think of anything like that. These are the words from the Devil himself. See, when I go to sleep, I don't really sleep. My soul is taken from its body and sent to Hell, while my mind and dreams stay. It's really hard to describe, and I guess you can't know what it's like until you feel it.
This started when I turned twelve. See a pattern here, involving sixes? I thought so. Well, when I turned eighteen, which is what I am now, the third step of "The Process" occurred. A giant spiritual nail was jabbed into the center of the six on my neck. This nail gives me incredible strength, and somewhat transforms me. Fangs start protruding from my mouth, and my skin turns black. I can control this amazing power now, but when I hit 24, I'll start losing my free will and the power will become stronger. When I turn 30, my will will be gone, and I'll be nothing but a minion.
The reason why the mark of the Devil is 666 is because of us three. We are called The Sixes, because of the marks on the backs of our necks. Because He cannot actually come to our plane, He chose us as his eyes, ears, and mouth. Oddly, his reach stretches across all planes, though. Anyway, our skins also change color to what we represent. I am Death and His eyes, which is why my skin turns black. Alistair, one of the other Sixes, turns red. He is Dischord and is His ears. Will, the last six, turns blue. He is Sadness, and is His mouth.
We are destined to meet at a place called Har-Mageddon, when we turn 30. All the zodiac callenders are wrong when they say the world will end in 2012. If the other Sixes and me don't find a way out of this, the world will last to 2020.
Enough of the Devil. Let's focus on me. Yeah, me. Now, I am eighteen and it's January 1, 2008. I'm a junior and Fordson High School. I was held back not because I can't learn, but because I moved to the U.S. of A. when I should have started 1st grade. Because my parents were missionaries, they moved all around the world. I happened to be born in Australia, more specificaly, Tazmania. Anyway, when we were supposed to move to the US, my mom fell sick in Africa and almost died. We had to spend a year in Africa so she could recover. From what, no one knew.
So, I started school a year late. No one treated me any different from it, but they treated me different because of my accent. I have the Australian accent, but the American vocabulary. That's actually how I met my three best friends: Jessica, Ryan, and Rain. They were the only ones who didn't treat me different. I suppose it's because they're from other countries, too. Ryan and Rain are Vietnamese twins their parents adopted from an orphanage when they were still babies. They moved to the US after they were adopted, so they could be raised here, but they were told at a young age of that they're from Vietnam. The twins were adopted, because the parents were homosexual and couldn't concieve a child of their own. Jessica lived in New Zealand with her grandparents for 3 years while her parents went through the divorce and remarriage. Her dad is Australian, so she's used to the accent (even though she doesn't have it).
We four met the first day of school. The teacher divided the class into tables of four by last name. Mine's Snyder, Rain and Ryan's is Smith, and Jessica's is Sebinsky. Now, let's fastforward back to today, shall we?

    No, of course not. XD

It's a short story I'm writing. Hopefully, I'll get some tips on how I can improve it. Obviously, it's told from Jax's point of view. I'm posting each chapter as I finish them.
